Wonderful vehicle

This is a wonderful vehicle in the class of midrange SUV. My only complaint is the lack of truck space, but that is not a deal breaker. The amenities that come with this vehicle is great for the price point.

I love my car, but…

Love the ride, love the drive,love the look, love the feel… So many things to love. I’ve had two difficult experiences with my car. The first involved some bodywork. It was very difficult to find someone certified to fix Genesis cars. The second experience was that I had difficulty with performance on the road. The car was shattering and I had to stop for service because of an engine light came on only two dealerships in the state. I was worried that I’d be stuck out of town overnight because of parts. not good. This is at 20,000 miles with a two year-old car.

Almost there

Switching from Audi to Genesis has its pros and cons. Genesis does cheap well and only after a short 17k miles, its shows really bad. Tech is great, build quality not so great. The chassis seems not strong enough for the suspension and powertrain. Going over undulations resulted in creeks in the sunroof and rear quarters of the vehicle. Hitting pot holes resulted in huge body tremors. The seats are the worse in the industry. Very very hard not comfortable. Even to door pulls feel cheap. The engine is not powerful enough to justify the terrible fuel economy. The wheels and tires not of good quality they crack easily. It seems like Genesis is showering you in sparkles to help you forget about the not so great foundation. Dealership experience is top notch. Exterior interior design are first rate. Ease of service is great as well.

Beautiful design - lots of kinks

The design of the car is beautiful but I have had a handful of issues in the first 3 years of ownership. Firstly, the fuel injectors all went bad in the car and all needed to be replaced. Due to a perfect storm of issues, they didn't have it resolved for nearly 5 weeks. When I mentioned this, the repair person said "Oh yeah the fuel injectors is a known issue" to which my reply was "if it's known, why are there not ample parts available for repair?" In terms of finish quality, several of the door parts rattle and this began about 1 year into ownership. They say they looked but couldn't find anything and when we go on test drives they do hear it, but there has been no resolution - it drives me insane to hear and has almost brought me to the point of getting rid of the car - it's very frustrating. Another design flaw appears to be their headlamp design. After heavy rain, condensation is present on the inside of the headlamp. They have now been replaced 2 times and it's due to go back in a 3rd time for the same issue. Again, at this price point I would expect that not to happen on either issue

Dreamy to drive

I absolutely love my Genesis GV70! It’s like a dream come true! I was a Mercedes girl for 30 years and I will never go back. All the luxuries I have with this vehicle I never had in any of my Mercedes vehicles. And I got all of it for such a better price than those outrageous prices Mercedes charges.

A near perfect driving experience.

Great acceleration and fun to drive. This car performs in an excellent manner. We like this car so much we bought a second one for our Canadian residence. The only issue we and some other owners dislike is the door unlocking system. We prefer all locks to open when a finger is placed on the drivers door handle.

very well-made car. I’ve had BMW Mercedes and other luxury brands

overall, my experience has been very positive. For the price this car compares to Mercedes in quality. The only thing I don’t like is the on off switch for stopping it stop lights, but that’s not really a problem. Genesis can deal with that’s a government issue. That’s annoying.
