Engine Fails at critical times

It is UNACCEPTABLE that the engine randomly stalls when driving. Specifically, there is a problem with the "Auto start/stop" function. While driving, I will come to a stop sign or red light, after coming to a complete stop the engine will shut off (as it is designed to do). When light changes to green I take my foot off the brake and the engine does not restart (car stalls); the car information center will then BEEP LOUDLY, RAPIDLY and INCESSANTLY while displaying a warning notice that you can not start the car while in drive mode and telling me to put it in park to start. I then have to switch from drive to park mode, push the start button, wait a moment for engine to start, and then put the car back into drive mode. Meanwhile, I have drivers behind me honking incessantly, or a truck coming up on my rear at a fast pace and I can't move. This is a safety issue that I find unacceptable in a modern car. I am a sitting duck waiting to be re-ended. This is NOT a fun driving experience. The issue is random. I have gone a week or two with no problem with "Auto start/stop", I have also had it happen to me several times during a single 30 minute drive. I have 5,000 miles on the car, and the issue has occurred at least a dozen times. It first occurred with 900 miles. I have had the car back to the dealer 4 times so far, twice now in for over a week. It occurred once with the head service mechanic in the car with me. Car is currently in the dealer shop. If it happens again, I will pursue NY State Lemon Law for either a refund or a new car.

Luxury, Comfort, Style At An Unbelievable Price!

This is the second GV 80 I have purchased new. We love this car so much that my wife has an identical 2025 one. After much research, no other manufacture offers the features, comfort, luxury and technology that Genesis does. A similarly equipped premium Japanese or German manufacturer will move the price point to $110K. The comfort for long trips is superior and the technology is impressive, informative and provides maximum safety. I am also impressed with the fuel economy and as needed, the performance is exhilarating.

Great craftsman ship, lots of Tech

Beautiful, everything I wanted in a vehicle. More importantly, the main driver and customer, my wife - loves it, but it's tech complicated. No questions below on the Dealership unfortunately - it was a quick, impulse type trade-in/ buy, which is OK. We are not disappointed with that - we have the vehicle we want. The Dealership did no overview/ walk through of the controls, basics, fundamentals of the vehicle with us -10 minutes would have worked wonders and saved us a lot of time trying to figure things out. That may take years!

I absolutely love my 2026 Genesis 3.5L Advance. My husband had a 2022 Genesis Prestige Signature which I absolutely loved also but I was in a accident in it which totaled it. I already know what my next vehicle will be.

Love the car. Hate the dealership.

I absolutely love my Genesis GV 80. It is extremely comfortable to ride in and fun to drive. I did a three year lease and would love to do another one when this one is up as long as I don’t have to deal with Fitzgerald Genesis of Rockville. Had nothing but trouble with the dealership. What a shame that it’s enough to make me not want to buy another Genesis. There is no other dealership within an hour of me so it would be extremely inconvenient.

I love this truck. So far my only issue is I should be able to keep my radio screen up on the right or car play after turning it off. It shouldn’t default to that nav or map screen.

Affordable Luxury in the fast lane!

I'm extremely pleased with my 2026 Genesis GV80 Prestige Black! The styling, comfort, performance, technology, and exceptional warranty coverage make it a fantastic luxury SUV that rivals much more expensive competitors (I conducted extensive research before my purchase). While a few refinements would make it even better, these are minor shortcomings in an otherwise outstanding vehicle. What particularly impresses me is Genesis's Korean philosophy of "Son-nim," meaning "honored guest," which emphasizes treating customers with genuine respect, care, and hospitality. It's refreshing to see a luxury brand recognize that the customer experience should be just as important as the vehicle itself. Your Annapolis, Maryland location represents this perfectly. Genesis has earned my confidence, and I hope they continue putting their customers first while pushing the boundaries of luxury and innovation. I'm excited to see where the brand goes next!

A vehicle we are proud to drive

Our new GV80 has been an absolute joy to drive and own so far. It performs as good or better than anticipated, it is so comfortable on both long and short trips. While daunting at first, the technology advances in the vehicle are amazing and work very well. In short, we love the vehicle and feel we made an excellent choice to replace our Audi Q7.

Stunning vehicle at an amazing price that's plagued with nuisances.

For every thing I love about this car there's something else that just annoys the hell out of me. Every sensor is just way too sensitive. There's no way to mute one without muting another one you still want to hear. They tried to be cute with the rotary shifter but it's right below the rotary infotainment controls so you're constantly grabbing the wrong one.
