Great to look at. Good to drive.

The car is gorgeous! Looks and feels luxurious when you get in. But it drives rough and gulps gas.

Only one drawback

I am an older person, and am thrilled with the safety features of my Genesis 80. The car is comfortable, feels very secure on the road, and is attractively styled inside and out, The only reason I deducted a star in the rating is related to the size if the messages on the screen - older persons would care a out this, and the very poor quality of the owners manual. If it weren’t for YouTube, I would be hard pressed to know how to operate my car. Bottom line – I love the car, but it isn’t perfect.

Genesis GV 80

In 10 minutes of road test I never realized few tweaks. I need a car key to open the car, it doesn’t recognize that I have key in my purse or re n in my hand. Seat adjustment for height doesn’t go higher. Seatbelt doesn’t have enough room so it takes a long time to click the belt. Car runs very smoothly. Premium gas is killing me, as I am a retired person. Car looks amazing. Love the car in so many ways, except few little glitches.

2026 GV80

Overall, a solid car. Lots of great features and the Bang and Olufsen system is great Improvement over the quality issues we had with the GV60. However, already after a short time the plastic on the exterior mirrors are melting. Yes melting. Same things happened on the battery door for the GV60. Answer from dealer in first car was we have never seen that happen. Will see what they say on this. Overall would recommend

2026 GV80 Advanced

I moved froma Mercedes GLS450 and I've been disappointed with quality difference. This is my first brand new vehicle and it has some issues with noise and the doors don't close without effort and the passenger handle sticks on the outside. It also clunks while driving

GV80

First time in a Genesis. 3 months in. Weathered the north east snow. Advanced tech is nice, but coming from an older vehicle without the features it takes some getting accustomed to. I enjoy the fuel efficiency and the 4 cylinder engine is good with respect to driving in the city. My old car was a V6 3.6 L engine. That car went through 25 gallons of gas per week now with the Genesis i use 15 gallons per week.... same distance.

Horrible

Genesis of Nashua - My horrible and unacceptable experience (FRAUD!) I had an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience with Genesis of Nashua that I feel others should be aware of. I purchased a Genesis GV80, which is marketed as a high-end luxury vehicle, and expected a premium experience to match. Instead, the experience turned into a 4 month long ordeal. After signing all the paperwork and waiting to take my new car home, the salesman casually mentioned that the battery was being charged, which immediately raised concerns since this is not an electric vehicle. I drove the car home anyway, only for it not to start the very next morning. Genesis had to come pick it up. This issue didn’t happen just once — it happened multiple times (about 13). While the car was at the dealership for service, I repeatedly called and was told the car was ready. However, when I followed up to confirm, the service manager told me it still wouldn’t start. This pattern repeated over and over — the car would be charged, run briefly, then the battery would die again once turned off. At that point, I told the dealership I no longer wanted the car and that they should take it back, especially since it was clear they knew it had issues before selling it. The response from the sales manager? “All cars can be fixed.” That was unacceptable. I also had the Genesis app connected to the vehicle, which alerted me whenever the car was on, doors were open, or where it was located. Several times, I received alerts and called the dealership, only to be told again that the car still wouldn’t start. At one point, a service technician even took my car home to try to resolve the issue — adding over 200 miles to my brand-new vehicle — and it still wasn’t fixed. The car was even parked overnight in a garage in Salem, NH. After 6 weeks of getting nowhere with the dealership, I finally escalated the issue to Genesis Corporate. It then took 4 months to get my money back from corporate, and another 3 weeks to get a refund from the dealership. Not once during this entire process did anyone apologize for selling me a defective vehicle. No one from sales or management reached out to make things right. The only bright spot in this entire experience was Sue, the Service Manager, who was the only person who genuinely tried to help me navigate this situation. To make matters worse, I was never properly shown how to use the vehicle's features or packages. I was also misinformed about the matte finish — I was initially told I could wash it normally, but after purchase was told I could not use a car wash, as it would damage the finish. Instead, I was handed a bucket, a cloth, and soap — completely impractical, especially during New Hampshire winters. The bottom line: this dealership will sell you a defective vehicle just to complete the sale and will not stand behind their highest-end models. This entire experience was stressful, time-consuming, and honestly heartbreaking. I strongly recommend that anyone considering purchasing from this dealership proceed with extreme caution.

Genesis GV80 3.5T - Nearly Perfect First 1,000 Miles

My Genesis GV80 made a great first impression. Smooth, quite ride. Quality interior. Fun to drive, especially the forward lane assist which makes driving super easy and relaxing. Enough ponies to getty up and go when needed. Just a few minor things like finger print laden material on the center console, poorly designed drink holders in the doors, and confusing programming of the electronic key kept me from giving it a 5 star rating. 4.75 would my rating.
