Bought a '99 in 2018
Preferring manual transmissions, that's what mine is. The car is a pleasure to drive. It's the EX which having a manual transmission a rarity these days. The interior hardly shows any signs of wear. I did need to have the brake and fuel lines replaced - where I live very corrosive chemicals are used on the roads in winter. I have a company vehicle so high miles (~175k on mine) is not a concern. A concern is the timing belt which I should have replaced, I don't know when or if it was done. Although it was the oldest vehicle (in age) I've ever purchased, it's the most fun to drive. It handles very well. Unlike some smaller manual transmission vehicles, this is geared rather 'tall', resulting in ~2500 in 5th gear at 65mph. Makes for a nice highway ride. Fuel economy is good. Seats are comfortable. The only issue I have is a noise from the front when braking - it's done it since I bought it and hasn't got any worse. I removed what little rust the car had. I believe mine was re-painted. The clear coat tends to peel on these cars, mine has no signs of that. I still see many generation 6 Honda Accords on the road.
