Love my Elantra GT

I've had my 2014 Elantra GT for about 2 years ago and except for replacing the brake light switch a couple of times under warranty the vehicle has been very reliable. The OEM tires (Nexen) wore out prematurely (36,000) miles and I replaced with Michelin Premier which has tremendously helped in the handling and ride of the car. Also upgraded factory sound system with small sub-woofer which greatly helped the overall sound. Fuel economy has been very good and I love the flexibility of the hatchback, along with the fold up seat storage.

Sharp car.

Disappointing MPG and the ride over bumpy and or rough roads is rough or harsh. Otherwise, it is a nice car and fund to drive.

It's what I needed.

Obtained vehicle soon after purchasing residential property in area. Vehicle runs and handles well. Very good creature comforts for front seat passengers. Not all that comfortable for normal sized persons who have to spend more than a short period of time as a back street passenger. Very good gas mileage. Enough room for ordinary shopping.

I would say I am satisfied with my elantra, I have had it for three years and have had no major issues. All so it gets great gas mileage. I get 26/32 mpg.

Great car

I drive a lot of miles for my job, about 175 miles a day, so I spend a lot of time behind the wheel. I can honestly say this car helps get me through the day. Always starts right up, purrs like a kitten and is very comfortable to drive. I have over 120,000 miles in 3 years and haven't had any issues what so ever. I have the car serviced regularly by the dealer, which I feel contributes to it's dependability. The only concern I have is that during hard breaking if you hit a bump, the brakes release and you are no longer stopping and can get a little concerning at that point. Other than that I am very pleased with this vehicle.

The Elantra is a fairly a good car. The ride is a little stiff, but bearable. Pretty good gas mileage for the size of the engine. Overall Very pleased witht the auto.

My GT experience

I bought a 2014 fully loaded leftover Elantra GT. It handles well but would seriously benefit from an independent rear suspension. The generic twin cam engine is bullet proof for the most part, with the 6 speed tranny it's very responsive and playful on the back roads as well as the highway. Love the panoramic roof. I do have to say that the GPS is a cheezy two dimensional image and the interactive keyboard that guesses your destination is quite often wrong. I'm hoping I can fix that in settings. The adjustable lumbar support and seat adjustments are more than adequate for long distance touring. It's really a lot of car for the money; I'm more than satisfied.

I have had 3 elantras there beautiful cars. The only problem is they dont handle good in the winter. The tires lack power in the snow. Im thinking the next car i might try a fully loaded awd tucson

Better than expected

This is my first time owning a Hyundai. My last two cars where a Toyota and a Mazda which I enjoyed very much. I bought the Elantra GT for three main reasons. One,the repair record had improved greatly, two the price, and three was the leg room. I am 6'5" 260 pounds and drive 35K plus per year. This is by far one of the most comfortable cars I have driven. I must say that after living with this car for some time I am even more impressed, it is truly a lot of vehicle for the money. Only time will tell how it will hold up over the long haul, but so far so good. My only issue is with the blue tooth, the speaker no longer picks up what I am saying so I will take that in next week. My oldest son (who owns 2 Toyota) has decided his next car will be a Hyundai based on my experience. I average around 27-29 mpg in real world driving, most of it is stop and go city driving, so not bad. I could probably get better, but I do have a bit of a lead foot.

I love my Elantra GT it is a beautiful little car with great gas mileage. One big flaw, the tires are not good for traveling on snow.

Except for the tires that do not travel well on snow covered roads because when the brakes are applied the car cannot get purchase on the pavement & the car slides, I love my car & would purchase it again only with an up grade of tires.

2014 Hyundai Elantra GT

LOVE my car. While it's not perfect it's a great car! It's very fun to drive, it looks great...especially in the windy sea blue color,(Hyundai needs to bring that color back) and it has a lot of cargo space. I would highly recommend this car with a few cautions. The drivers side windshield post is thick and can block visibility. The ride is stiff so I wouldn't recommend it for a long road trip car. Otherwise......LOVE!!!! Everytime I walk out to my driveway to get in, I just feel so happy. I forgot to mention that it's very peppy! Exceleration like a dream for such a small car. Freeway merging, freeway passing, just amazing!! LOVE!!
