Miss my accent

I upgraded from an accent which I loved. I love all the features I have in my elantra such as Bluetooth and remote start but I feel as though this doesn't ride as nice and quiet. I also feel as though this is not as good on gas. Overall It is an ok car.

Small but good car

After driving our Elantra GT for 6 months, we wish we had a bit larger car. We were NOT rushed or pressured by sales rep, and performance of auto is excellent - just somewhat difficult for my wife getting in and out.

Okay

The car has a lot of get up and go but it comes at a cost. For being a smaller car I am very surprised that the gas mileage is so low. I think I’m going to have to get my third Hyundai but it will have to be a little bit more off the ground like a Tucson. I was a little disappointed by the Kona only because it’s not very high off the ground.

The only thing i have to say is. The trim around my Windows The pant is fading. For being a new. Plus ac has never work right . That upsets. Me a lot. The guy sold the car to me said it was surpose to be like that. I dont know qhy lied to me.

Needs improvement!

Suspension is too rough. Muffler is too loose, and when you drive over a rough area, a bump or a hole, the muffler hits the side of adjacent areas and makes noise. Seems like they need to improve on the smoothness of the ride of this car. On suspension.

Wish I Could Upgrade...this Car Has No Power

I bought this car brand new in 2016. At the time I thought the looks were sporty and has some room for upgrades. Not to mention power...should have realized that during test drive. But I was so excited in buying a new car I'm sure I overlooked it. Fast forward to 2019 and ive noticed over the years this car lacks power. This is the base model but some minivans and other vehicles seem to have more power than my car Doing an upgrade will be pricey so I have to live with it. Anyways you can do better with the newer models.

Love It

I love my new 2016 Hyudai Elantra GT. However, the interior lighting leaves something to be desired. We also noticed that the top piece of the center console moves back and forth and doesn't "Lock" into position. However, when it's moved forward it blocks the back cup holder.

I have had 2 previous Hyundai's. The frist Hyundai Excel for 10 years, the second Hyundai Accent for 18 1/2 YEP, THAT IS A TOTAL OF 28 1/2 YEARS AS A HYUNDAI OWNER. IF YOU EVER DECIDE YOU WANT TO INTERVIEW FOR A COMMERCIAL I AM YOUR GIRL. i LOVE THE SLEEP LOOK AND THE INTERIOR ESPECIALLY THE GT HATCH BACK (I am still learning on how to figure the GPS YOUR REALLY SHOULD DO A VISUAL TAPE OR GIVE OUT DVDS as in my opinion the instruction manuals SUCK. There are two distinct things I do not like about it. 1. NOISY RIDE, IT SOUNDS LIKE I HAVE FLAT TIRES WHEN I DRIVE THE NOISE IS LOUDER THAN THE MUSIC. 2. LACKS GUTS OR TORK, HAS no real pickup but once it gets going it's ok.

Nice car.

Only have driven it for 3,000 miles so far but very impressed with it. Solid drive, and handles well in the rain. Acceleration is sharp as well as breaking. With the horsepower and torque it's also good for freeway driving and you don't feel the car shaking or vibrating when you are at 80mph or so. Only complaint I have is road noise at freeway speed. Something Hyundai should've addressed when attaching GT to the title of an Elantra. GT means you are going to be taking long distance drives with plenty of miles on the Freeway so the noise level should be way less than it is. It's still not horrible just a complaint because I wasn't expecting it to be as much as it is.

Compliments from strangers who stop me to ask about my "cute" red car.

Friends and strangers have complimented me on the look of the GT. It drives and handles well, especially on highways or on straight-thru trips. It does well in merges and lane changes. In City driving, however, pick-up after stopping at a red light or stop sign can be slow and may even feel like the tires are stuck on leaves or on a road bump, but I notice this less as I drive it longer. It's generally fun to drive, easy to handle, and particularly easy to maneuver in tight spaces. I'd recommend it to parents who are looking for an inexpensive, safe car for their college-aged children, or to anyone who enjoys driving a smaller car.
