Elantra GT 2016

The car itself is very accommodating to carry 5 people or antique finds in the back. I feel that the car hesitates when I need to accelerate fast. I wish the car had leather seats because with a dog they are so much easier to clean. But my favorite thing about the car is the hatchback. So convenient. Yet I am not sure they are making the Elantra with a hatchback this year. So I am glad I bought the 2016 so I could have it.

Great experience

Great experience The car itself is excellent Best Buy I have are made for the money. Original tires with the vehicle substandard . I had two tires with blabs on them that had to be replaced. Bought four new tires of a different brand. I don't believe that this is the dealerships fault. With the exception of having to replace the new tires that came with the vehicle I couldn't be happier.

Good Value for the Price

I bought this vehicle in May of this 2016. No real problems to date. Just had an oil change at 5K miles and tires rotated. $20.00 bucks out of pocket; not bad. I would buy this vehicle again but would consider getting a manual because of the engine to transmission calibration; noticeable lag from the transmission.

Grill is a bit too large, Seats aren't as comfortable as they could be.

Good performance, Grill is a bit too big and the headrest is angled about an inch too far forward.

It is great on mileage and love the heated seats as well as camera for reversing etc. However, the seats are not the most comfortable and space is fairly limited. Also, the engine is one of the loudest I have ever experienced.

Fun to drive

GT is easy to enter and exit, fun to drive and gets positive comments on it's looks! Heated seats are a plus. I'm not sure why it needs 173 HP engine, because I don't see it as a real sports car. Engine gives you a quick start, but is lean on top end pick up. Even with adjustment to sports mode, I'm not confident it would handle well if challenged by a 'sporty' road course. Still, it's quick and easy to enter hi-speed roadways, handles and brakes well, I would recommend to beginner and senior drivers. If I had to choose over, I'd get a smaller HP engine to achieve better gas mileage. My ex has a 9 year old Kia 4 cylinder Specter with similar 'enter the turnpike speed', but better gas mileage. Take away - your basic engine is very good!!!

Love the acceleration

This is an excellent heavy traffic car. The great acceleration and braking, plus the small size makes a great car for three lane bumper to bumper driving. Good three hundred and sixty degree visibility is a plus. The hard seats would make it a bad long distance car.

Great Value, Gas Mileage, and Almost Enough Room in the Rear!

I continue to be impressed with the quality of the ride, along with the fuel mileage. It's comfortable, quick, has a great turning circle. I just wish the car was about a foot or so longer, so I could fit my recumbent trikes in the back without removing the rear wheel! My only other "complaint" is that the horn sounds wimpy :)

Elantra

I love the Elantra GT. I haven't driven a car this small in the snow before and wasn't to happy about it. The size of the vehicle did not have great traction and it kept swerving to much on slick roads. Otherwise the car is great.
