Reliable Car

This is the 4th Hyundai Vehicle I have owned. I have had the Sante Fe for when I was a new parent till know that my kids are Teens. I switched to the Elantra from my Pontiac Vibe that I would drive to work know that Teenager would be driving soon and I want a reliable car that would be used sometimes by them. I also have faith in Hyundai to take care of their customers if something goes wrong with anything. I did put in some Cons in my survey due to the space available when when you load up a group of 4-5 adult size people that are taller than 5ft 11in. and small trunk space due to the roof line dipping in back. The gas mileage was not as good as I thought it would be in city 22-27 mpg. Highway does great 33-37 mpg. Over all very happy with the cars performance and would recommend most Hyundai's products.

Good decision

Price, sporty ness, of the car, it was a good decision Fun to drive with with great mpg Great style for the overall of the vehicle It would be nice to have a all wheel drive option for better handling

Great car, exceptional value!

So far I have 36 thousand essentially trouble free miles on my Elantra GT. If you're looking for a reliable vehicle at an affordable price, consider an Elantra. I am quite satisfied with my Elantra GT.

Lease

Well I traded in my Veloster last year for a little bigger car. I really liked the Veloster to run around in , May partner didn’t like the ride in it as it got older. She has a bigger car in Fla. so the Veloster didn’t give her that soft ride . The streets in Massachusetts are not so smooth as Florida. Durning the Months when were up here now I have my car and she sends her car from Fla to mass for the summer . So my car now is your car that I run around in the summer and a week in Christmas . The only thing I Don’t like is the fuel economy a little bit more that my other cars that I drive. But other that that it does what I want it to do and a little bit bigger than my Veloster.

Very nice

Elantra GT is a nice little car that can handle it's own in any condition. Traffic, rural, rain, sunshine. It drives very nice and has great power when you need it. Handling is pretty good, acceleration is very good especially at highway speeds. Features are nice and it's just overall a really well designed car and I feel safe driving it.

2018 elantra gt sport

Overall this is a great car. Exterior has class for a hot hatch. Mpg is around 35mpg combined(for me at least). Performance is perfect and surprising for a little 1.6l. Interior is beautiful with the hint of red accents. The dry DCT has its quirks but performed quite well both daily driving and having fun. Only wish hyundai offered the 2.0T and wet DCT.

Good vehicle

Purchased a 2019 GT. It is a good car decent gas mileage and pretty quiet. The tech integrates well either iPhone or Android. Rear seat room is fair. The vehicle rides and handles well. The a pillar does obscure the view on the driver's side.

2018 Elantra GT Sport

Really like the vehicle, quick acceleration, ample room in hatch for my needs, nice styling, good exterior paint. However there is a problem with noise in the steering which Hyundai and the dealer have not been able to find the source and correct.

Good car

It is a good car, contribute, economic, comfortable, like speed up in a short time. Have a great back car. I like using the mode drive on the high way. I like the sensor the passing car. The interior is big I like automatic temperature .

Nice car

This car has some problems, the tire depth and the trunk lip is two or three inches to high.I realize that the power driver seat is used much more than the passenger seat but offer one and not the other is just not completely finished one without the other.

2018 Elantra GT leased

Great vehicle. Had a faulty fuel pump at purchased but it was replaced swiftly upon me asking and at no cost to me. The visor was broken by whoever detailed the car. The salesman Mark said not to worry and that I could bring it back and get it fixed\replaced. Otherwise great car super durable and would recommend.

Love driving the car

Great car to drive. The negative is the luggage capacity. There's ample space if your design actually utilized all of it. the is at least 3 cu-ft of space under the floor and above the spare tire. Why do you lift the floor four (4) inches above the tire? Such a waste of valuable space and it reduces the storage capacity rating for anyone comparing luggage space with competing models. On a recent trip, I thought our luggage wouldn't fit. I looked under the floor and saw loads of space so unpacked the luggage and began placing loose items under the floor mat. Everything fit. However, a third of it was under the trunk floor. I've looked for after market options to increase the trunk capacity but didn't find one. If Hyundai had a trunk modification kit available I'd buy it. This is really a design mistake. Why would any manufacture make a third of a vehicle's storage capacity inaccessible?

Love it but hope she holds up

Not sure I will purchase another Hyundai, the consumption of the oil and engine noise worries me. Any other manufacturer I haven't had a consumption issue and have 0 leaks anywhere. I also dont like the smell from adhesive you used to manufacture the care. Sitting in hot sun all day, the smell is over powering..

2018 Elantra Hatchback

I like my car, thought I would like a smaller car but I do miss my SUV especially trunk space. I really like the set-up of the radio and use of GPS is very convenient. May look at SUV but I would like to lower my monthly payments.

Better value to me than a GTI

The Base model Elantra GT is a good car with crisp handling, a responsive engine, excellent room for a 95th percentile human, good fuel economy (for me) and some less than perfect attributes. For a vehicle of it’s cost perfection cannot be had, but less wind noise at highway speed would be nice. The trend to larger diameter wheels and lower profile tires does cause a harsher driving experience over less than perfect roads.

Everything is amazing besides the paint job

I have had no problems with the car at all performance-wise. But I have had a lot of issues with the paint chipping and starting to look like s***. No other complaints besides the paint job and the clear coat

My first Hyundai

Traded for a new 2020 Hyundai Kona Turbo 1.6L in Dec. of 2019 due to a need for better acceleration in dealing with congested traffic in Ocala, Fl. Need better acceleration to merge into traffic and to change lanes on State Road 200 my primary traffic route. Very satisfied with the Kona. May well be the best car of the 44 I have ever owned.

Elantra GT (Hatchback)

This little vehicle has many little options for the mom on a budget. It seats five with extra room for groceries in back. Although one has to be very careful with road bumps, highway debris, rocky roads, and potholes. West Texas is not kind to small cars. The front grill is low and can get caught when parking behind a curb or when leaving any parking area & going out on to a street (ditch crossing). One has to constantly watch the condition of the road being driven. I thought my engine dropped out once on a well paved street (43rd).
