Hyundai Elantra GT

Overall Elantra GT is fun to drive and roomy for a compact car. The only downfall for a new vehicle is the road noise needs improvement. The car manufacturer could add some more outside noise control material to the vehicle.

Hot 4 Hyundai

After driving my late father's '02 Elantra for two years solid, I was saddened to have to sell it because the body had rusted out so badly. The previous owners had been in accidents and it has been restored: the engine still ran beautifully, but the body was disintegrating. Because Dad loved the car so much, it was especially rough for me to have to sell it. I did fall in love with Hyundai cars after spending so much time driving and riding as a passenger with Dad and his 02 Elantra that he purchased used after being restored from the accident. Knowing that I would have to sell the car I did online research and had a chance to really check out inventory and local dealerships. My neighbor is good friends with one of the salesmen at the dealership I used (Graham's in Mansfield Ohio) so it felt like I was coming in well informed to a friend who would treat me right. I saw on their internet inventory to New old stock 2018 Hyundai GT cars. I read the information on their website as well as consulting a customer reviews and purchase data about this vehicle. When I actually saw "my" car and test drove it, there was no question this would be the newest member of our vehicle family. she is officially our "Gray Ghost" to go with "Taco" the Truck & "PeTe"' the Convertible! Now I have all the fab.features from '02 + state-of-the-2018 design upgrades/tech. innovations that mesh seamlessly with my Google pixel 3. Knowing the quality of these vehicles I imagine this Hyundai will be the last car I need before I retire. (Unless, of course, I can't resist a new Hyundai as the innovative company creates better vehicles every year.). Thank you!

Ok

I love all the regular features on all Hyundai vehicles, plus the heated seats and the lane change warnings that were extra. The seats are terribly uncomfortable though and iare giving me back problems.

My 2018 Hundai

I don't know what to say - I like the car very much so far. Still figuring out the heating/AC and the wipers. Wish I had a tape deck - I miss my music Gets good mileage. I like the color Everyone at the dealership was very helpful

Poor Design

Poor design grill has openings big enough for rocks to get to radiator. Backup camera gets blurry from rain. Don't drive with windows open wind noise is horrible. 3rd and last Hyundai I'll ever buy. Warranty doesn't help you is just a joke.

Good car

I have my 2018 Elantra GT for about 1 year now and I am quite happy with it. I liked my old Elantra much better and am sorry that I didn't keep it. The 2018 Elantra is not as comfortable, has less trunk space and is noisier than the 2008 Elantra.

Quiet performance

Spacious, lots of elbow room. Stops and turns on a dime. So quiet that I do not know the engine is on. I would like a little more sidewall on my tires. I have Nexen right now. When I go down a highway, I feel sometimes like I am driving on my rims especially when there is a rock or road debris involved. I measure that I am 2.5inches off the ground. I am hoping on getting a different tire size someday. I seem to have big wheel wells. I do not know why I need Sirius. Paid in full for a year. Do I have to have Sirius for phone calls? I try to use the steering wheel to answer calls, but does not work unless I bend forward and mess with the screen. I guess I skipped a media lesson.

fun, comfortable and, so far, reliable

The Elantra GT Sport model has more power and torque than the base model GT. To be accurate it is nowhere close to being a "sports car," nor even a "hot hatch," like the VW Golf GTI or Ford Fiesta ST. But it's fun to drive, looks sharp, is comfortable and, having driven it for 10 months, is problem-free. The interior is nicely appointed, and several sound and mode adjustments can be made from the steering wheel. I'm old-school, so I would prefer a CD player, but I'm (reluctantly) learning to use the car's media player.

Reliable and quite nice

I bought my car in October of 2017. I love everything about this car. It gets great gas mileage. The interior is comfortable. Since I am short, I have to move my seat up close and raise it up. Safety wise, it got great reviews. It handles quite well, especially in foul weather. There is great trunk space and storage underneath, in the wheel well. This may sound petty, but one of the biggest selling points for me was having a spare tire. Most new cars now only come with a tire repair kit rather than a spare tire. What happens if your tire gets shredded and you don't have access to roadside assistance? As a woman, that is a big deal for me!!

Love it!

I never thought I’d love a car, but I love this one. Sleek, stylish, fun to drive. Safety features are great and reduce insurance rates. Blue link is a blessing. My GT does great in the city and is sooo good on a long trip.

A fantastic car for a great rate.

My Elantra GT had been a workhorse for me since Day 1 and has never let me down once. We're talking about over 18 months of driving on dogshit Pennsylvania roads. This car is a champ and I have nothing but accolades for this fine specimen. It's apparent, I love my car and you will too if you had one of these.

I Love This Vehicle

This is the best vehicle I've ever owned, without a doubt. Love the color....can always see it in a parking lot. It's sporty and has really quick acceleration. Drives like a dream and I feel very safe in it. Can't say enough great stuff about this car!

Best buy for the money!

The Elantra GT Sport is a wonderful, useful vehicle that has great styling and excellent performance. Quick and comfortable ride with room to haul items home. An interior that beats even much more expensive vehicles and info screens that are so easy to see and use.

Very practical and dependable

Very dependable and useful vehicle. Has just the right amount of tech and gas mpg is a lot higher than the 32 mpg EPA rating. Low maintenance and interior quality is very high. I like hatchbacks and this car has a large cargo capacity.

My 2018 Hyundai Elantra GT

I was pleasantly surprised when I met with Mark Shelley at Hyundai of Ocala last October. He shared with me the many features of the Elantra prior to a test drive and continued to provide information as we went for an extended test drive. This was the first time I ever drove a Hyundai and WOW, what a lot of car for the price. The GT has lots of "goodies" for a car guy. Surprised at how much interior space compared to the competition. Fit and finish were excellent. I couldn't find a blemish anywhere when I inspected the car. The suspension, the brakes, the "sport mode" the 6 speed automatic transmission, the back up camera, the blind spot monitors, the radio are all excellent on this car. A really big surprise for me is how easy it is to park when I drive it forward into a parking lot space. No more backing in and out to get between the lines. Another great feature for anyone living in the Hot summer driving in Florida is the AC. Never had a previous car where the AC came on so quickly and gets so cold. The multi link rear suspension with the upgraded tires make my car fun to drive on twisty roads by cornering well. This is not a super high performance car but does drive well, gets good gas mileage and rides quite well all fo a great price and warranty. I was so happy to find out about the 6 speed dual clutch transmission as I really don't like the CVT transmissions on so many cars on the road today. This is my 45th car and after owning it for 8 months would I buy it again. Absolutely! I might opt for the 1.6 turbo but then again I think of the speeding tickets and decide that the 2 liter 4 cylinder is the right car for me.

My ELANTRA

2018 Elantra hatchback with 2.0 L Engine, gets great gas mileage (34 MPG) and very quick. Like to Drive it .OK could be better if it had a 2.5 L engine. Little noisy on rough roads, could use more sound deadening on the floors.

Very nice vehicle with European style without the price tag, very happy with the car. But Not happy with the dealership, Do not buy from Red Maccombs in San Antonio, Tx very rude and dishonest people, specially sale managers.
