the car is to new to me to assess , so far I have enjoyed the driving experience both in automatic transmission mode and paddle shifter mode. The tires could have better grip. the seats have sufficient bolster for energetic driving

2020 Hyundai Elantra GT General Review after driven 1500 miles

Sporty yet roomy styling with lots safety features (most important are the back up camera and side collidance avoidance warning). I especially like the signal light on the side mirrors. Lots of features considering the list price. I chosed the 2,0 engine for its durability, I am real happy with the vehicle.

Hyundai Elantra GT

So far the experience has been excellent, the only issue so far is finding the correct engine oil for this vehicle, I personally do not agree with many of the reviews that compare this car with the VW or other comparable cars, the ride, and handling ,are great and the engine performance is good as well, the transmission shifts smooth and is predictable. So far this is exactly what I was in search of and is meeting or exceeding my expections.

Love my Elantra GT

So far, I love this car! My last 3 cars were luxury vehicles and I wanted to go old-school. The most fun cars I ever had were hatchbacks and this one is AMAZING! I am so pleased with my purchase. It is an uncommon car in my area so there is not a million of the on the road, it is beautiful, and packed full of features for the price. I am thrilled!

Great value, great features

This car has everything I needed and nothing I didn't want. The leather interior is beautiful, tech is easy to use and well equipped. It doesn't have any kind of lane assist or other cumbersome features that I didn't need. Engine sounds nice when revving and it has a really smooth powerband. I was cross shopping with a VW GTI and while the GTI had more horsepower, I thought that the Elantra GT was the better car. Much nicer interior, and cheaper, plus I trust Hyundai over VW's questionable reliability.

Excellent car

The N-Line has everything that I was looking for. Nice HP output and Twin Clutch Automatic. Everything about this car was done right for the right price. 100K warranty to boot was a no brainer. Keep up the good work Hyundai.

Great little car

I love that the car is comfortable for my 6' tall 280# frame. It is fun to drive and gets great gas mileage. My very petite wife also fits well with all the adjustment in driving positions and tilt/telescoping steering wheel. Overall we are very happy

Awesome Little "Warm"-Hatch

The 2020 Elantra GT N Line is a unique thing among the $25k price range that no one else seems to be attempting to match. I love it inside and outside, good performance, good MPG. For a compact car, the inside is decently spacious. The driver's seat is obviously the best-feeling one and all possible controls are within reach. The leather and heated seats on the N Line trim are a nice touch. I haven't seen any other car around this price range that passes the 200HP mark, save for the Civic Si. This car gets an advantage over the Civic Si due to the option of a dual clutch transmission while the Si is stuck with manual (I personally dislike driving manual). The engine sounds good, it's zippy, and it'll stick to the ground when cornering like a fly to a glue trap. 26 MPG avg for me isn't bad at all either. If you want to get a Golf GTI but don't want to pay more or have the reliability issues, get this instead. You'll like it.

fun little hatchback

love it! would recommend it good value for the money, everyone around me did not realize that the elantra comes as a hatch back also, the vehicle is suprisingly fast with very agile handling its a pleasure to drive.

Good car

I purchased an Elantra GT N Line, and have enjoyed it a lot so far. It's fun to drive, largely due to the turbocharger under the hood which gives it just over 200 horsepower. It also has a dual-clutch transmission which makes it feel sportier. It looks stylish, both inside and out, and has a pretty good cargo capacity for its size. Cannot speak for reliability so far, since it's not even a year old, but the engine it has (1.6 liter Gamma, G4FJ) is known to be fairly reliable. The 10/10 for reliability is simply because I have to put something to publish the review. Overall, I'd recommend it to anyone looking for something with pretty good performance for the price, while also having a pretty nice interior and four doors. It's a fantastic daily driver for certain, and it's not likely to disappoint, so long as you know what you're getting into when purchasing one of these.

Fantastic Car

Love everything about this car, I got the 6spd manual and it shifts like a dream and its performance exceeds my expectations. The only gripe I have on this car is for some reason on the cluster, the arrow next to the fuel pump gauge points to the wrong side of the car when going to a gas station.

Elantra gt

Very sporty and fun to drive for a regular 2.0 GDI I4. I would highly recommend adding a oil catch can because GDI engine are usually prone to build a lot of gunk and carbon that can ruin the engine. But, other then that, 0-60 in about 8 seconds is not actually bad at all for a basic Elantra gt. how ever I would say that there is a lot of room to add in the engine bay like a turbo or a more bigger air intake. hopefully in years to come we can mod it to become a really good sleeper type care because there is so much potential for this car’s performance and would hate for Performance companies to over look this car

Best kept secret

Love, love, love this vehicle. Bought my first one in 2013. Like the roominess if the cabin, the sporty look and feel. Had 148,000 miles at time of trade in. Vehicle costs were only tires and routine maintenance. I like the safety upgrades in 2020 model to include blind sight feature and back up camera. Love the moon roof and appreciate spare tire that had not been in older car. Like the extra hundred mile driving radius. Thrilled with my purchase!
