Brakes job— too much to say but in short cut - give me $1700 quote and I did at other shop (F.S.) for $650
Bad bad bad experience. Manger make me feel like a fool. Give me quote for brakes job $1700. I went to another different shop and did it for $650.same ditto job. I have so much to say but I won’t recommend Midas for NO one. I’m sorry I have to say this here. They just want to kill the golden chicken who give the gold egg every day. But they want to kill at once and want all gold egg at once.

Friendly and fast
Jason was really quick to the point. Only went for emissions but while waiting he explained to me a few helpful things. Gave me a business card. Extremely helpful and polite.

Muffler removal
Short sorry. I payed them to take off my muffler and resignator that had fallen off the cat from the snow. Asked them to save the pipe the muffler is trash since it has a hole in it. Instead they cut my resignator pipe in half. Now I have to get a full replacement instead of just a new muffler. Not happy at ALL.

We were more then willing to help your daughter in a snow storm especially with her 2 younger kids to get back on the road and on with her day. We are sorry that you didnt come to MIDAS to have your parts professionally installed before your daughter had someone install your parts incorrectly. Your exhaust system originally should of been installed with 4 pipes , you had 3 and the shop who incorrectly installed your exhaust used 2 and welded a bolt to your muffler to hold it up.  What you failed to say was the improper install done by another shop lead to your daughters exhaust falling off the vehicle and instead of her stopping she continued to MIDAS and dragged the muffler on the road causing it to rub a huge hole. Hopefully we can help you out in the future first!!!!

Needed VIN Verification
I own a classic car and for registration a vin verification needed to be performed. I chose Midas Torrington Ct because in the past they have been fair and extremely helpful. Knowledge and skill are valuable and the staff there are invaluable!
