G80 Genesis

This car is an uncomfortable fit for a female body. There were also problems that required several visits to get it repaired. The car looks good but doesn’t live up to its looks. After being a faithful, loyal Hyundai buyer, I will not be buying another Genesis.

Forget service once you buy it

I have had service issues since I drove this car off the lot!!! The selling dealer never cleared up my issue when the said they would. I ended up having to pay more after the sale was completed. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE-DO NOT KEEP THEIR WORD

The dealer doesn't honor or provide the valet service that was supposed come with the purchase of the car. I spoke to the General Manager and he explained that Hyundai WILL NOT be honoring the valet service and that they would NOT be able to provide me a similar type complimentary loaner vehicle AT ALL. This is completely unacceptable!!! This was a 15,000 mile service and they never removed the wheels to rotate my tires. The mechanic documented on the inspection checklist that he checked the brake shoes which is impossible to do without removing the wheels. Service at this dealership is and has always been totally unsatisfactory. I've bought my last four brand new cars from Hyundai, the last three from this particular dealership and I assure you it will NOT happen again. I know realize why BMW and Mercedes service far surpasses that of Hyundai and Genesis. Buying a Genesis, I thought I was moving up to a better more exclusive type brand and the service would be commensurate with the more luxurious Genesis line. Boy was I wrong!!!! Extremely disappointed customer.

Serious computer glitches which the dealer can't fix

My Genesis G80 came off the line with Sirius computer glitches which the dealer refuses to fix. The backup camera blacks out just when you need it. The side door refuses to open unless you use a key fob. The engine has hesitation and for acceleration. And now the navigation system is going haywire. All of this is computer-related. Genesis says it's all normal. If this is the case you should steer clear of this car because it is unsafe and aggravating.

Too many issues for a car in this class

Tires have been horrible since we got this car, Flat spots and now road noise from uneven wear in spite of rotations and correct air pressure. Rear end whines and cruise control causes trans to constantly shift in and out of overdrive.

G80 Vibration Issue

From the initial purchase, the vehicle had a vibration for the first several miles of each initial drive. The vibration would subside after driving several miles. Thinking there were flat spots from sitting on the dealer's lot so long, Genesis replaced the tires. The vehicle still has the same "initial drive" vibration. The local dealer had me drop off the vehicle (didn't offer a loaner), supposedly checked the vehicle and told me the manager would call me with the results from Michelin. It's been two weeks and I never heard back from the service manager, even after leaving voicemails! Awful service.

Costing me to much time and money!

Loved the car when I got it! Powerful smooth stylish! 3 months in, Door has to be replaced?! Hollar dealership allowed my car to get wet inside and had to replace interior?!? A few months later Transmission started to "buck" they froze up. Took months to fix. Tires that came on the car were run flats. That is what they did!!! Went through 3 sets before I just replaced them with regular tires. (Continental tires) Radio went out and drained the battery?!?! They first told me the cost would be $9k!?!?! I could go on on on! If the company gives a damn....Someone will contact me from corporate. We will see.

Genesis exceeds and disappoints

Smoothest shifting car ever. Quiet, strong, confident vehicle...BUT, Telemetrics and Bluetooth features are sub par for a 51k vehicle. My 2017 Tacoma provides a bluetooth that reads texts and e-mails, show pictures of my 4 favorite contacts. I'm told to get this on a G890 you need to spend another 4 grand. Thats out of line...Additionally, there is no remote start via key Fob. You have to go throught a 3 step process on the Genesis App which is inconvenient and time consuming.

G80 experience

The car is very good. The servicing dealership is not. When you take your so-called luxury Genesis back to the dealership for service you receive the same treatment as any other Hyundai customer. No valet pick up and delivery available. No loaner car available. Now I drive an Audi once again.

Best bang for the buck with reliability issues

When I got the car brand new from the dealer, I could not imagen how great of a car this is. Everything was just perfect. But as miles are driven, some reliability issues have come up that gives me second thoughts. Right now I have 39,000 miles and has gone to non-services issues 4 times in one year.

trouble

I have had quite a bit of trouble with the G 80 from the radio blowing out, and being in the shop for over a week when the radio was installed all the features were no put in, had to go back and complain about them not being done. Complained on numerous occasions that the car pulled to the right they kept telling me it was set to factory specs. the hands off feature never worked on account of the pulling of the vehicle, again it was back in your shop for 11 days before it could be fixed. The salesman I had bragged about the g80 I had very bad luck with it, and don't think I will lease another one.

Very happy with entire car. Great safety features and ride. After 2 years have encountered audio problem that is happening too often and has not been resolved. This concerns me because lease is ending and I may be going to another vehicle brand. Like to continue owning Genesis products

great car

So happy with car but this last 6 months have had audio issues that have not been fixed. Has been into shop 4 times for same issue. Parts have been replaced but still problems.. Such a fun car that I want to keep it but with this problem not being corrected I wont be a Hyundai customer anymore. This is my second Hyundai vehicle. Time is running out for solutions and answers for this issue. No audio means no sensors and safety problems.

Most solid ride I've experienced for the $$$. You literally feel the stability. Responsive on command. Trims, even on basic model, are very impressive. This vehicle gives you the Confidence and Class you deserve in all its Simplicity. Low maintenance, Stylish and very Impressive.
