The very best Value

This is my third Genesis and I think they are the very best value in a luxury car. That being said there are still several bugs in their technology. For instance, the blind spot indicator in the HUD turns itself off every once in a while. It still shows up on the side views but off in the HUD. The lane keeping startles you with an alarm if you are on a prolonged straight-away not changing lanes, warning you to keep your hands on the wheel. You need to shake the wheel to stop it. The HUD fades away, partially or completely every now and again. The stop start cruise will sometimes suddenly apply the brakes for a car crossing dozens of yards ahead or if you come upon a stripped crosswalk. Overall the car is great and I will probably buy a 4th.

G80 Sport

Amazing machine, that's stylish and fun to drive. Only downfall is the service that it associated with the car and Brand. Very sub par service, especially given the cost/value of the vehicle. I'd highly recommend this vehicle if it wasn't for the service, which devalues the car.

Genesis 2018

2018 Genesis should have an option to change front to 2020 front. Local service for Genesis should be top priority when visiting dealerships for services since Genesis is the flagship car for Hyundai. Upgrade trade in should be considered if Genesis owners want to upgrade from one year to the current year with minimum expenses!

Original tires are horrible, cup holders should be bigger, should have auto updating maps, passenger side visibility should be better. Should be able to extend concierge service at a cost. Car is very beautiful and stylish. If you can improve on some of my suggestions would be nice.

Survey needs tweeking. You ask for comments but don't provide the correct option or way to elaborate. Survey needs a N/A option. The vehicle is fine with the few exceptions mentioned. The brakes can be overly touchy but not always. The transmission can be clunky when shifting from drive to park but not always. The navigation system cannot understand me. I asked for a street in Las Vegas, NV last week and it tried to send me to British Columbia.

Genesis - the new luxury vehicle with the features, minus the price.

As the title suggests, Genesis has the ability to be the next luxury brand - due largely to its overall quality (and high satisfaction) and less than premium price (but having premium features you'll pay for with the other guys). Many standard features here are added features elsewhere, which only adds to the value of the Genesis brand/vehicles!

Very nice riding, handling vehicle. But once had a recall performed vehicle has not been the same and it has me concerned. I hope my next service visit is more pleasant and all issues are resolved. Very nice car to be receiving such sub standard service.

Love this car!

Love this car, if you purchase in Grand Rapids make sure you have serviced in Holland! Car handles great in the snow and rain. Graphics on the navigation system are perfect. The fact the you can talk to the car while driving and look up a location is so nice, as it is not always convenient to put your car in park!

Genesis- give them a try before you buy.

Purchased a leftover 2018 G80 ultimate 5.0 h-trac. This car has been great so far. Have owned it for just over 1 year. There has not been any issues whatsoever. Car is used every day.On the interstate this car is in its element. Smooth and quiet. Great safety equipment to assist if needed. Fuel economy on the interstate is a-plus. Cruise set at 70 mph returns 29 mpg. City driving there is enough power to pull away and get around just about anything. In the snow ,starting out a little slippage and then it finds the traction. To be fair I did not change out the tires to a winter set like I normally do. Regarding the snow driving portion you feel safe and in control which is most important . In comparison to the audi S4 in the snow they are identical. What you get for your money is simply more than the other guys( audi- mercedes-bmw). As for getting over the monaker on the hood, no problem at all for me. If you are in the market, you owe it to yourself to test drive one. I think if you look at it objectively you will see why the Genesis G80 is a fine automobile.

Worth a spin.....

I find my G80/5.0 has essentially all the bells and whistles the Infinti/Mercedes/BMWs have but without the higher price tag. Its sleekness, strong engine and comfort makes the vehicle secretively aggressive without taking away its classiness. The car is fun to drive but rather large to be called a mid-size car. Although it's a very impressive vehicle it's not without its flaws. Some of the flaws include gas mileage and sound system. The gas mileage is the worse. The car is the lowest miles per gallon when rated against similar vehicles and seems like I'm always filling it up even when I put the transmission in economy mode. The sound system can use some tweaking in the bass department. Adding bass to your music selection is almost nonexistent. All in all I haven't regretted purchasing my G80.

Visibility concerns

The side view mirrors create a visibility problem for me when I turn right or left. View of a whole section of road or parking garage is obstructed by these mirrors. And I am unable to raise the driver’s seat enough to to see above these mirrors for more information.

Generally this is a very good vehicle My only complaint at this time Is the tire situation When a service department employee tells me that the tires are being replaced around 20 thousand miles on a 50 thousand dollar vehicle of this type just makes no sense One thing this survey doesn’t ask or recognize is that many people that own these types of vehicles are car guys and take extremely good care of these vehicles This car of mine looks like it was just purchased

would have liked rear seatback to have been able to fold forward opening into the trunk for more versatile cargo capacity and adjustability of front drivers door which closes back too easily upon opening. Very sorry to see 2021 version going to 2.5 engine. Main reason I purchased my 2018 was quiet power of V6 engine and would not purchase a car with 4 cylinder engine, especially a luxury model like a Genesis.

Great car for the money but dealers don't act ot treat you like a high end customer

Genesis has to decide if they are going to be a high end car company or still treat it like a Hyundai. We were told they would be opening their own building but to my knowledge this has not happened. There is not the feel of BMW or Mercedes dealership .

Love my G80

Genesis G80 is excellent for quality and amenities provided at a good price compared to other brands. Knowing that Genesis Co. is still going through "growing pains" just like any other brand trying to break into this market, I hope they are successful and get firmly established so that they can provide the level of service and recognition the brand deserves. Great product for the money, just need to fine-tune the service and obligations made to really be a total success!

Overall it is a good car and a fun driving experience!

Other than the few climate control system issues, I have had a great experience with the car. The car is fast responsive and very fun to drive. I went from a sport SUV to this Genesis g80 sport which was a big change because the car rides so much lower but the visibility was fine and the ride was tight and exciting. I am happy with the car overall.

This is the second G80 I have leased, on both vehicles the one door handle has broken, and on both vehicles the lower body paint has chipped off. The paint appears to be too thin and fragile. On both vehicles the glass roof has rattled on bumpy roads.
