Love the hybrid function that saves on gas consumption, but...

This Elantra Blue Hybrid offers savings due to running on battery. We see 40 - 60 mpg in town, and 40 - 45 mpg on the highway. Interior is a bit small if you are not petite. It has good headroom for taller people, but getting in and out is a bit difficult for larger people. One of the first things we saw was that you cannot lift up the wiper blades when you clean the windshield - you need to open the hood! The back seat is really tight for anyone. Installing a child's safety seat is difficult and I don't like the fact that the rear head rests are part of the seat and not able to be moved. We have had good power in town and on the highway, and it is fairly quite while driving. The features on the dashboard are a bit cumbersome, and the multi media center needs to be improved.

2023 Elantra HEV

This vehicle did not live up my expectations. I kept a 2013 Elantra I own & gave it to a family member. My thought was the newer model would have been improved to be less road noisy. My driving experience did not improve & disappointed me. Further, the electric boost (HEV) proved to be less helpful because most of my open road mileage.

This car has been incredible!

I leased a 2023 Hyundai Elantra Hybrid Limited in January 2024. I'm consistently getting 52 mpg. Although the hybrid has only about 139 hp, it has a 192 ft lbs of torque..same as the Elantra N! So off the line this car is no slouch!

Nice vehicle with lots of tech. Build quality is questionable. Driver side floor mat wore out and two windows work intermittently. I may try a Toyota Corolla next time for better reliability.

Overall great car

Over all I like the car but there are a couple of minor things that could be improved. For one thing, the view through the rear view mirror is not very good due to the shape of the rear window. It is OK but if a car is very close to you it can almost disappear. Also, I would like the ability to lock the doors even if one of them is open. Finally, the windshield wipers do not raise up off the windows very well. Still, for what really matters, it is a great car.

Best of both worlds... gas and electric

Wasn't sure about getting a hybrid but decided to take a chance... VERY happy that I did... my average MPG is 48!!! My 2023 is fully loaded and I am quite happy with all the features!

What a great city car, commuter car, long-distance drive. I've done them all in my Elantra hybrid and if this is the last car I ever drive, I will die happy.

Impressive

Phenomenal gas mileage- I drive 40 miles each way for work daily and only fill the tank once per week. Car performs well in winter driving conditions in upstate NY. Comfortable interior, sleek exterior. I had driven Honda civics for 25 years and am so glad I made the switch.

The front passenger side seat should be powered for the price paid. The cooling in the driver seat works intermittently.
