My car lies to me and that pisses me off

Generally the car is fine, but its insistence that it is getting gas mileage which it doesn't actually get pisses me off. When I go to refill it, the MPG reported on the display is generally well over 60 miles per gallon. But when I calculate it by hand by miles driven dived by the gallons of gas used, the MPG is in the 50 range. Worse, the variance between what it says it gets and what it actually gets is inconsistent. Sometimes it off by 3 MPG; sometimes 10 MPG. If I can't trust the vehicle computer to do basic math, how can I trust for the more advanced features you tout, like street sign recognition, collision avoidance, or lane following?

Hyundai Elantra is a good solid car

This is my second Elantra. The first was a standard gas powered model and it git great mileage and was very comfortable. I am 6ft 1 so that is saying simething for such a small car. We went with the hybrid model this time and because of the reasonable price we were abke to get a lot of options like leather seats and sunroof. The mileage is amazing as it usually stays between 50 to 60 mpg. It is still the most comfortable vehicle we own. I only have one complaint and that is my android phone just will not stay connected. I have trued every combination of cable. It eorks great in my other vehicle. My wifes Iphone works fine with it just nit mine. I also cant project via bluetooth which leaves me with only the built-in navigation. It wotks fine but kind if defeats the purpose of a better infotainment system if you cant connect to it.

Excellent fuel economy in warm weather, but severely lacking otherwise

Awful tires and wipers right off the lot. The brakes were loud from day one. The wind leaks through the windows. The headlights are not sufficiently powerful. The engine and transmission are very loud. Too many blindspots.

Feels unreliable

I have had my hybrid Elantra for 2.5 years Before that I drove Prius cars since 2010. I have gone out to use my car 3 times now and I can not unlock it by approaching the car or with the key (that no one else has been able to successfully use. Hyundai has helped with road service but it is unsettling.

Good but not great

This vehicle is only 2 years old. So far it has been very reliable and gets great gas mileage. However, it is too low to get in easily. Sometimes it jerks when accelerating from a dead start. The seats could be more padded.

Have enjoyed the driving experience and the flexibility the non-plug in Hybrid provides. The safety features included make the Elantra a car that I know will help me continue driving as I age.

Great except the hybrid battery

The car was good except just like my sonata the hybrid battery failed. And I was without a car for 2 weeks because there isn't enough techs that work on hybrid vehicles.

The cars hybrid is not working how it should be. I'm still losing the same amount of gas, if it wasnt on hybrid. I took it in already and they said everything was good.

Mileage is very good, easy driving, comfortable, sound system is barely average. Hood and quarter panel don't match very well, not aligned properly. The plastic on the seat belt locks was not completely removed. The inside windshield or rear window wasn't cleaned very well and it's very hard for me to clean. I have somewhat limited mobility.
