It’s good, but basic things missing

Car is really good and driving is really enjoyable. Adaptive cruise is a big big miss and safety features are not that great. Also space is really crumbed for keeping water bottles on the door side and space is almost no use.

Good on gas, bad transmission

Looks good, feels good, and saves a lot of money on gas but transmission is not so good. 65k miles and I'm starting to have problems with the transmission....

The Elantra HEV has potential to be an amazing car, but it falls short

This car gets fantastic gas mileage and has a lot of really enticing features, however, the performance and engine capability, which is consistently and continually plagued with problems, makes this car an exemption to any vehicle you would want your family or children driving. I purchased my car at the beginning of January 2026 brand new, and we are almost to June 2026, and it has been in the shop for nearly 5 months. No one has been able to fix any of the issues, and I keep getting promises that are never getting fulfilled. There is always a time delay, or an excuse, or some other reason why I'm continually driving rental cars, when my brand new car is still in the shop. I have been in contact with the store manager, the service manager, and even a Hyundai representative. No one has any answers, And I am still without my car and in a rental. Absolutely unacceptable.

Amazing car sold to me at a superb price, absolutely no issues. 6 months post sale, car is still as perfect as when I bought it. I only wish it had more than 2 cupholders.

Great car, great warranty, great gas mileage.

Here in the tropics I appreciate the air conditioned seats. The sonically assisted cruise control allows me to relax during crowded commutes. Automated warnings about speed cameras provide gentle reminders. The gas mileage is especially significant given gas prices now.

Great value

The only problem that I had with the vehicle was that due to a significant, unrelated back issue entering and exiting became difficult. For that reason alone I traded for a Hyundai Tucson Hybrid.

Panel Fitment

On my 2025 Elantra Limited Hybrid, I noticed the hood doesn't seem to fit properly on the sides. I've seen other similar models where the hood fits perfectly and on some it doesn't. This is probably the only concern (not complaint) that I have.
