Veloster, one of a kind.

I dont know if its the way i have modified my cars looks or just the car itself, but i sure do get lots of compliments on it. Pull up to a group of crowd and you will have almost every eye on you. Wish i had more power. Overall I love my car!

Fuel efficient, safe, decent in snow for front wheel drive.

I recommend installing a cold air intake and use 93 octane fuel for a boost in HP. I love how this thing handles, with good tires it can corner very well and is very stable. The suspension is stiff so big speed bumps are rough and it's choppy in bumpy terrain. Fuel efficiency is great, I can get 42 mpg without trying on back roads, cruising on the highway at 70 I can average 35-40 depending on terrain and surface conditions. It's tight in the back seat however third door is great. Trunk is deep, braking is excellent and driving in snow, I never got stuck in a parking lot even with 9 inches of snow on it.

Game Changer

So far I love my '13 Veloster! It's reliable, handsome, and sporty. More than you can say about guys nowadays. The only things I would like a bit different is, (being on the short end) the driver mirror on the side structure kinda makes it a blindside for me when turning. It got some getting used to but now I'm more cautious. Other than that no complains! If you like to get attention on the street look no further, you'll have people turning heads. It's a cute car and people know it.

I fell in love with this car at first site. Sure you can get a faster car but for the money you can't beat this car. Great looming car and fun to drive Hyundai also stands behind their warranty.Test drive one!!!!

Best ride in a long time

Despite some recent difficulties with the center console (function buttons and CD player requiring repeated resets,) the Veloster is pleasant to drive, and a comfortable ride. The contoured shape is deceiving, hiding a substantial rear hatch for storage (which can be expanded by folding down the rear seat backs,) and seating that my passengers tell me is roomy and comfortable. MPG is very good, whether in ECO mode or not.

Head unit and the GDI engine are the short commings

The his vehicle has served me well in my commute and spirited-ish driving. Hyundai corporate has admitted to a design flaw in the GDI engines, cause of what can become serious carbon build up and guncked up lifters. This issue doesn't hurt performance, but adds some added noise to the engine bay. The head unit is pretty poor in user friendliness.

Veloster Turbo

This car is fun to drive. Needs about 50 more horsepower, even with the Turbo it feels like the chassis could handle the added bump. If they could configure it to handle the all wheel drive platform from the Tucson or Santa Fe, it would be a game changer in the compact hot hatch market. Overall it's a great piece of engineering and handles very well. I race mine in SCCA autocross events. I'm the only Hyundai in my region. You would do well to advertise and promote the sporting side of Hyundai's and start developing factory backed performance parts.

Attractive, fun, and reliable car

I've had my Veloster since 2013. I bought because it was so unique and attractive and had the sporty feel but also the practicality. I love the third passenger door as it allows for back seat access - I wouldn't be interested without this feature. Hatchback trunk space is roomy. I love that my vehicle came with a unique graphic that I haven't spotted on any other car so far! I do have a little dislikes. The blind spots are pretty bad in this car, especially if you're shorter, but regardless of height also. This car doesn't have enough power to just step on it and move quickly - which is so helpful when merging into freeways or changing lanes. It takes time to accelerate. Perhaps the Turbo type would be right for me. Overall, I really love my Veloster!

Great little car, with great MPG

I love my 2013 Veloster, it fits the sports car feel I wanted without a huge price tag. It gets amazing gas mileage and has great pick up for a 4 cylinder vehicle. I get complements on is sporty appreance all the time!
