If you’re just looking for a fun, nicely equipped coupe without a lot of power, the 2.0 Premium has the right balance of features and pricing to make it our choice. From a performance stance, we’d go with the Turbo Ultimate over the N.

Fun capable little hatchback

I've had my 2019 Veloster N Performance Package for a year now and it has given me no problems in the 12,000 miles I've driven it. I wish I could give this car 5 stars because 90% of the car deserves it. The interior might be plastic but nothing you touch feels bad. It might not have lane assist or radar cruise control but it doesn't need any of that stuff to be an amazing driving experience. It's a Hyundai don't expect an Audi. What really holds the car back is the stock pirelli tires being terrible and the wheels being heavy and ugly. Other than a few minor vibrations that were easily fixed and the tires the car has been amazing.

Good little car

Fun car to drive, there are faster ones, but for the price, warranty and fun it would be hard to beat. Have owned 4 KIA’s, 1 Genesis and now 2 Hyundias and never had any issues. 12 years ago I never would have thought I would own one, now look at me 4 of the 6 still in the garage.

Fan of the Model - maybe too soon for the new 2.0 version

The vehicle was purchased with scratches that I did not see at first. My wife noticed when I first brought the vehicle home, so I either purchased it that way of scratched it on the ride home. The interior features are awesome. Starter just went up almost two years after purchase (bad), but fully covered repair and tow (service department was fantastic). I'm still a fan and may have bought into the 2.0 version too early. Miss the old styling of the sunroof.

great car

great car to have. Gas mileage is wonderful, fill up every 2 weeks driving about 15 miles to and from work. Trunk space is great. Does great in the snow. Not made for tall people. My son is almost six foot he can sit in the passenger seat but not the back without being scrunched up. Overall I love car.

Love it, but lose the front camera!

I love my car, but when it questioned my skills at a time when I didn't need it to; I had to spray paint the front camera! I don't need a 'drivers ed teacher brake' slamming on the brakes and practically make me do a 'stoppie' (1 wheel motorcycle manuever) when I'm shooting 'the gap' to get out of a situation. Other than that, for a 4 cylinder, it's pretty perky in the "sport" mode.

Great car for the value

This little car can be a lot of things. Fun, sporty, a little track car, and comfortable. All things considered the us cake with all the futures you can have included for a good price. As a car guy there can be quite a bit there to turn in to a little nice handling weekend warrior. Good sound system and heads up display for the top of the line car and a digital amp to make sure you get perfect sound. Honestly love the car.

2019 Turbo Veloster Review

Love the car but I wish the exterior had more contrasting features. The vehicle is Thunder gray. The entity vehicle is thunder gray. The skirt is thunder gray so there is no contrast in the side view of the car. I am constantly trying to add some red to the car to make it pop. I'm getting ready to go to a sign shop to get some red wrapping done to jazz up the car a bit.

Great vehicle for the price. Great styling. Lacks sound insulation for those longer freeway commutes or commuting above 45 mph. Power seats and all wheel drive would be nice features to have. Adaptive cruise control would also be another option I wish it ce equipped with.

Great value

It’s a great car, especially if you’re just starting to finance your own car. Plenty of space, looks great, responsive, great infotainment system, and it’s fun to drive. Definitely recommended as a budget sporty car.

Nice Vehicle

My third Veloster, a 2012, 2013, and now a 2019... basically happy with it. I would like to see a few improvements come soon. The vehicle needs to have more sporty handling to separate it from the Elantra. The steering wanders a bit and does not feel as good as the previous Veloster models, an improvement is greatly needed. The Premium 2.0 model needs to have a power drivers seat standard equipment added. The wipers could use a small improvement.

Needs More "Muscle"

Gets great gas mileage. Has awesome sound system. But, it does not give the performance that I was hoping for. And, the sunroof rides on top of the car when opened, which causes a lot of drag and wind noise that is almost unbearable. I traded in my beloved 2013 Hyundai Veloster Turbo for my "not so beloved" 2019 Hyundai Veloster Turbo. Can't say I will buy another Veloster when it's time for a new car which is unfortunate since I loved my 2013 so much.

A Very Nice Car

With the Accent Hatchback discontinued for 2019, the Veloster is a great alternative. It very good, performs reasonably well, and, in Premium trim it has an upgraded interior and lots of safety technology.

Great small car for the price

Gas mileage is way above advertised, we are averaging 37 miles to the gallon! Car is now 2 yrs old. Only thing we did to improve on the car was ditch the tires it came with due to excessive road noise. We put on a set of Pirelli all season tires, no more road noise from the tires and handling improved also. This car is very responsive and handles all the various driving we do. Plenty of room to load the back hatch up if you are taking a road trip of doing the huge grocery shop.

2019 Veloster N Performance Package

I love the overall performance and handling. The exhaust is one of my favorite stock exhausts on the market for this class of car. The thing I am very disappointed with is the awful paint and how bad the wheels peeled right away. More so since the dealer wouldn’t cover either under warranty. HIGHLY disappointed

Velveteen 2019

I love the car. I hate the fraudulent dealer I bought it from. If not for that dealer experience, I would find no fault with the car, yet. Since I have to keep adding words, did I mention the (former) Hyundai of Great Falls (MT) truly is awful?

I've had three Veloster leases. I may keep this one.

Of the three velosters I've had, this one is the best in body style, gas mpg. is up from 19 in town to 30 mpg average. The increase comes from improved transmission shifts. I never us the flippers and sport, because the transmission has fast start from a stop, so no need for more gas pedal. The ride is stiff, and the exhaust sound is very good. The interior is what I expect and want. The trunk did not have the cargo loops, but there was better trunk tray.

Lost that unique look

Some features have been greatly improved...the dashboard has been redesigned, and air flow controls offer a much wider range & direction of air flow over the 2016. Also, the car doesn't lose power when you have the A/C on, like the 2016. In fact, the 2019 is quick on acceleration, even with the A/C on full! Gone is the secondary console storage area (for coins, E-Z Pass, etc.), but the deep storage unit remains. Also gone are the mesh storage nets on the back of the front seats. Gonna miss those. The body has been completely redesigned, and to me, no longer reads "Veloster". The thing that made this car unique was the body design, especially the sloped wide rear end. It was like nothing else on the road. That's now gone, and the 2019 has lost it's uniqueness. Nice car overall, but just any other car now.
