Good and Bad

Mechanically it is great. Visually it is horrible. The paint on my roof, hood, and trunk all pealed off and looks terrible. This past June my dashboard started to crack, it also look terrible. I hope that Nissan will do something about the dashboard.

Nissan Altima

Compare to my other car (Toyota) Nissan Altima is higher maintenance with inferior built. Some of the parts like remote door opener was defective to since the start. I brought it to Nissan dealership service attention and they shrugged and said oh ya, that version was improved and you need to buy a new one. I said never ever you are doing a dis sevice to me as customer and your sells men could not convince me to buy another Nissan in the future. It seemed that they didn't care that they sold me defective product.

2008 Nissan Altima

My wife's car. She is sold on Nissan and I must also agree. I have a 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe. A fine vehicle but over-all quality is not the same as on the Altima. The only vehicle problems with this car was the recent broken spring, a rear wheel bearing, and a sensor that would not allow the car to start (not a battery problem). I will say that a tire sensor light is illuminated on all the time but the dealer wanted upwards of $200 to replace it. Nothing wrong with the tires or tire pressure. So far we haven't done it. She is most pleased with the car but wants to look for a new one in the next 6 months.

Great car

I’ve had my car since new never given me any real issues I keep up with the maintenance. At 198,xxx miles the transmission started to go but got it fix it was very hard to find someone who fix cause of the cvt transmission so I had to take it to. Dealership but lucky it came with a new warranty on the transmission so everything is good now hopefully it last Nother 198,xxx miles

vehicle is very good, quick handling, good with gas, dependable but it has loud engine noise.... If you maintain the maintenance you will have a good dependable vehicle that is fun to drive. Vehicle does have loud engine noise.

Solid longer-term vehicle

My 2008 Nissan Altima has been amazing. I have 268,348 miles on it and they only issues I had are the basic wear and tear plus a valve cover gasket replacement. Given I take care of my cars, I see this baby running for 3 hundred thousand plus miles no problem.

Love my Nissan!

My Altima is fun to drive, always dependable, sporty, and just looks good. Drove from Charleston to Atlanta and back last week and my car runs like crazy, with all the pickup and speed I want. Has built-in Bose sound, bluetooth phone, garage opener and compass on rearview mirror, 2 plugins for GPS, phone and/or extra phone, sunroof, and nice-sized trunk. Really like my Altima!

Comfort and style

I used to own a sports car, but the driver's sear wasn't that comfortable. The Nissan Altima has both a great style and comfort with a very smooth ride! I drive it a lot as I travel for work, so smooth is important to me. Smooth in steering and suspension. I wouldn't trade it for the world. Well, maybe I would, for a newer Altima someday!

Reliable car

I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another Altima. It’s been a great reliable car. Drives well and has a little zip to it. Love the roomy seats for the kids to get in and out. I wouldn’t hesitate to buying another Altima
