Yesterday, I went to start my daughter's Honda CRV before she got back in town from college, and it n
eeded a jump. After I started it, the steering did not work. I called Chet's and over the phone, the owner basically told me that if I went to a supply house and got a new battery, that would almost for sure fix the steering. Well, since the owner seemed fair and honest over the phone, I scheduled a service since the car needed an oil change anyways. I get there this morning, ask the owner to do a full diagnostic which I know is always a possible expensive repair. But he said no problem. He looked at everything, topped off the fluids, changed the oil, put in a new battery, and had it all done in close to a half hour. So honest. Very nice people.

For the last few weeks, I could feel a slight vibration through the center armrest whenever my BMW ca
r was idling at a stoplight. The steering wheel and seats felt normal, which made it even harder to figure out. They found one of the exhaust hangers had deteriorated and was allowing the exhaust to touch a heat shield. It’s completely smooth now.
