Engine trouble
I have a 2014 Veloster Turbo, and I had a problem with the engine sputtering when trying to accelerate. The first time it happen was at mid to high rpm when the turbo was about to kick in. The check engine light began flashing at me and the engine felt like it was sputtering and was going to dye, but the check engine light when back out. It did not take long for the problem to happen again, and this time the check engine light stayed on. So took my car to the dealer since it was still under warrenty. They only had one service rep working on Saturday because the other two were out sick or a family member was sick, and told me they may not be able to get to it with them be booked through December, but we’re able to get my car in the afternoon. The problem they told was a bad spark plug causing the number 2 cylinder to mis fire, but they did not have the spark plug on hand. Why do they not have spark plugs on the shelf? They had to order the part, which took 2 days to get. They replaced it, but it did not take two hours after replacing the spark plug for the problem to return. I drop my car off again on Friday afternoon and did not get back until Saturday afternoon. This time I was told the problem was with the first cylinder ignition coil, which they replaced. I have my doubts the problem has been fixed, but the problem has not returned.

The service is usually very good, but for some reason they did the tire rotation and our tire indicator came on one week later, so I’m not sure if they checked the tire pressure.

GOOD AC IS WORTH WAITING FOR.
Although the service took two days instead of one, the scheduled maintenance service was completed with no current issues that needed attention. The AC problem took one day longer than expected to repair, but we are very grateful to have cool air when we need it so all in all, it was a Happy Ending.

Horrible experience
It took 2.5 months for my car to be fixed. Communication was terrible, both in the service department as well as through the corporate office. I called and left messages to see what was going on with my vehicle. My phones calls were not returned. I spent hours on hold trying to track down who could help expedite my case. After a month and a half, a case manager, Julie from Hyundai corporate, finally contacted me. She was condescending, rude, and dismissive. I was extremely put off by her attitude and turned off by the company as a whole.

Very disappointed!
Promised completion in 2.5 hours, actual completion 4 hours. I told them I had an appointment at noon, vehicle completed at 12:30 and I missed my appt. Service manager noted the battery was checked and OK, battery died the next day. That's a lot going wrong for $500.
