well then

hated the dealership experience but was super excited about the car and then less than less than a year in started having battery problems and the dealership put me in a loaner but have yet to give me a date on when my car will be ready, it has been 4 months without my car.

A great car with a few small exceptions

The car is well built with mostly wonderful features. It's fun to drive - more like a sports car than a sedan. I found it to be very comfortable on a nearly-400-mile road trip. I really like the appearance of the car. It's very satisfying to walk out to a car that looks good, and I get a lot of compliments on it. Range has not been an issue, even on the long road trip. There are a few small details I don't care for. 1) The black glass control panel can be difficult to see in bright sunlight. That means it can take an unsafe amount of time to locate controls life fan speed. 2) The car doesn't give me nearly enough time to press the Accept button for incoming phone calls. The phone by itself rings many times, so I don't think the problem is with my phone.

Best car ive ever had

This is the fourth Hyundai I've had, and is by far my favorite in every category. Over the last ten years, ive had a Elantra, Kona, Tuscon, and now an Ionic 5. This car has been a absolute dream so far, from its styling, handling, comfort, to its reliability. I live somewhere that gets snow more than 6 months out of the year, and my Ionic 5 has handled it like a champ. I wouls highly recommend this car to anyone who may be on the fence about getting a electric car, its the most seamless transition I've ever had, and has treated me better than any other car I've had.

Car is only as good as the dealer support.

Glad this was a lease so I can walk away and go to Toyota or Mazda. Wheel shimmy makes the car unpleasant to drive. I use my other vehicle. Waste of a lease payment. Dealer wants me to wait 5hrs at the dealership to look into the problem. My time is more valuable than that. This was my first Hyundai product and possibly my last (including Genesis & Kia)

Not a great experience.

I cannot see the speed I am travelling while driving; it is hidden behind the steering wheel. No local service for the vehicle. The turning radius is not agile. Exterior styling is good. I will not be leasing another Hyundai. First, I leased a Kia, then its leasing costs went up so I decided to lease an Ionic 5. Hyundai charged me $400.00 to change models. No more Hyundai vehicles, your customer service is unacceptable.

Best car I've ever owned

After getting over the "fear" of owning an EV, this is the best vehicle I have ever owned. The interior styling is clean and tech forward, but easy to use. The car drives amazing with that EV acceleration and fantastic road handling, even in inclement weather.

My Ioniq 5 has been not very satisfying. I had lose paints and molding. Not to mention about 12v batteries.

Good Fun EV at a reasonable price.

This is a fun car. It’s got enough room for a family of 4 with 2 pre-teens. The tech is ok. The maps are mediocre. It doesn’t support wireless CarPlay. The UI is confusing. It also doesn’t do some basic EV things (like allowing one-pedal driving to be set as default) that other EVs do. The biggest complaint however, is that it doesn’t have a rear windshield wiper, and the back windshield gets dirty super easy due to the design of the car.

Limited model is amazing

I had the Limited and couldn't be happier. Wish I didn't have to come out of it. I wish you made special offers to returning customers, I would have taken another. I honestly hate the Elantra I have.

We are so impressed with our Ioniq 5. I’ve had and loved other Hyundais and loved them and this is our first EV. We love everything about it. We researched and drove all the other EVs on the market and this one was by far the nicest.
