Great car with a few minor annoyances

Great range and a smooth quiet ride. My only complaints are that it does not have walk-away lock even though it has walk-up unlock. The sound system is not great; very muddy sounding. Also had a couple occasions where it took me 10 minutes stop charging and unlock the charger from the port.

Love My 2025 Ioniq 5 But....

Going from my 2022 Ioniq 5 Limited to a 2025 Limited was both a good and bad experience. I love some new features such as a rear window wiper, rear heated seats, bigger battery with extended range and one-touch battery preconditioning. I do not love the new console design. I am a woman and I now have to lift the armrest to place my purse between the seats and if I need something from my purse it's a pain to access it. I do not like the radio design. It now takes me three steps to set SiriusXM to choose my favorite stations and go to the screen that allows me to FF, pause or rewind live radio. My 2022 remembered these settings and presented the same radio screen every time I started the car. And, BTW, the album background is still awful and ruins the symmetry of the screens! I also do not love that you are STILL using the awful BOSE SOUND SYSTEM! Seriously, it's the WORST! A 1992 Dodge Caravan has a better sound system! I find the driver's seat to be as comfortable as my 2022 but the 2025 is not as fun to drive. It seems less zippy and not as smooth as my 2022. I also have more anxiety concerning ICCU and traction battery pack failure. Overall, I think the pros and cons of driving this car just about even out. I have been purchasing and driving Hyundai vehicles exclusively for the past 35 years. I very much hope this is not the first one to let me down.

Fun to drive, but a few quirks

Fantastic tech-forward vehicle that's comfortable and fun to drive. No maintenance so far other than a tire rotation at the one-year mark. Range is great around town, but takes a major hit in highway driving, even in warm weather...plan accordingly. Driving assistance certainly isn't self-driving, but definitely eases the burden on longer highway drives with adaptive cruise, lane centering, and one-touch lane changes. Door locks are maddening, with no way to lock the car unless until all doors are closed and a key/phone is in hand, or else digging into the app. Have to stand there waiting for everyone else to shut their doors and can't let my teenagers close and lock it when they're done dawdling around.

Love the Hyundai electric products.

Fun, efficient, zippy, and the range is more than expected. The air conditioning is nice and cold. The car is fantastic. Minor issues with the 12v battery that was replaced under warranty. It charges fast, has great range, and is a pleasure to drive.

Pretty good EV

Touch screen for A/C and heater fan much too dim even maxed at 20. Hello..people wear sunglasses….annoying design of rear wiper switch makes it way too easy to turn on when using front wipers… storage area down in console needs to be a bin with lid to keep items from flying out when turning.

Great EV, but a bit small for taller/larger drivers. Fun to drive, good features, quiet, with a very good ride. Much better ride than Tesla, with features being much more convenient and available.

electrical problems galore

The 12 volt battery conked out three weeks ago, I managed to charge overnight and get it to the dealer the next day. They replaced the battery on warranty. Two days ago, the car screen said "electrical system problem", so I called Hyundai assistance, they told me to get it towed to the dealer. Dealer just called back this AM, they are replacing the ICCU and fuses sometime tomorrow.

Nice car, but with problems

The car is nice and full of features. However, learning about how to use the features is just trial and error. There appears to be no easy to use, reliable guide. A tech support system is needed, the customer support system Hyundai has is terrible for anything technical. On the engineering side, the car leaves much to be desired. The ICCU problems are disgraceful. My car has early signs of ICCU failure and there is nothing I can do except wait for the failure and the potential of being stranded away from home. The local dealer service center is totally unhelpful.

Perfect car for me!

With a range close to 300 miles and multiple charging options at all public stations this car suits my requirements perfectly. I have solar panels so home charging is basically sun powered. Interior space is roomy The ride is smooth.

Solid drive with lukewarm vibes and reliability concerns

It's my go-to car. I haven't had issues with comfort. The ride is a little stiff, but not uncomfortable for long drives. The adaptive cruise control and lane keep are really good for freeway driving and the safety features have helped me a few times. I am disappointed that I paid so much for it last year and now the prices have fallen precipitously without any contact from Hyundai about giving anything in exchange for it. I am concerned that the ICCU issue has not been discovered or resolved, I fear it's a danger for me and my family and I cannot recommend the car with that knowledge. I think the looks are okay, it has character, but I don't feel like it's opinionated. Parts of the car rattle and feel cheap, it would have benefited significantly to add some foam in various connecting pieces of the interior.

Outstanding Vehicle Done Wrong By ICCU

I love this car - the power, the comfort, the ease of use. It’s a dream to drive, has all the buttons and tech for a modern car, tons of cargo room, generous seating! So what’s the problem? The ICCU - this has been a known problem for at least 4 years, and yet Hyundai is still failing to get it right. My car stopped working because of the ICCU issue two months ago - and it still is on back order and I have no idea when it will be fixed. This is unacceptable in a car like this - after 4 years, Hyundai should have a genuine, reliable replacement part that works (and is in stock). Instead, between 5-15% of these cars are affected with no way to know if yours is next. Fix this issue, and this is a guaranteed 5 Star vehicle with no compromises.
