Improvements over my 2023 Ioniq 5 but some losses too

I loved my 2023 Ionic 5. My new 2026 has better color choices, better range, better software and improved phone and music links. Range is 10 to 20% better close to 380 miles on a charge with mixed driving in the eco mode. But the SEL model lost the electric folding mirrors, heated steering wheel and ambiant lighting. The steering wheel heat is the biggest deal as it really helps to use heated seats and wheel as not to run the heat in cool temps! I was disapointed.

I Love My Ioniq 5

I love everything about my Ioniq 5. I never wanted to own an electric car, but I when I needed to buy a new car, I did my research and bought an Ioniq 5 all electric car. I am sooo glad I made that choice. No gas, no oil changes, no many things. The ride is very quiet and smooth. It feels luxurious inside. It has plenty of power to get me up the mountain. Plenty of leg room in the front and for back seat passengers. Lots of space to carry whatever one may need. Hyundai thought of everything when they made this car. I plug it into a regular outlet in the garage and charge it overnight. We have solar panels on our house so we are winning both ways; solar power and no gas. I rave about it to people who ask. I'm so happy with it.

My new daily driver

I drive anywhere between 30 to 108 miles per day and this car makes the miles as comfortable as possible. Comfy while on highways using the HDA features and very responsive when needed. Sport mode makes for quite a launch. This care is great!

I love my new Ioniq 5

Great car, roomy interior, handles well, lots of great features. Back up camera shots are amazing. Its smaller than my last car, but feels bigger inside.

All great except turning

I love everything about my vehicle, except for its poor turning radius. That limits my ease of pulling in and out of parking spaces and dealing with tight maneuvers and sharp turns. It impacts my driving on a daily basis so I will probably not to keep this car as a long as I usually do with past vehicles.

Amazing, except a couple things...

Love almost everything about the car. I understand we got the lower trim model, but not having power closing rear gate is tough. The resistance is very tough to close. Also, the way the wipers clean the front windshield, they "deposit" or "leave" the water right in the direct sightlines of the driver. Wouldn't you want to move the water away from the drivers view?

Regenerative breaking is weak, even when set to the highest level. Can no longer do one. Pedal driving like I could with my 2023 dual motor Ioniq 5.

Hyundai Ionic 5 is as High Quality as it gets!

This vehicle is as high in quality and performance as any high end English, German or Italian car made. Top notch materials, construction and finishes, and it performs like a race car. (Ok, it has a terrible turning radius but it's such a great car this can be overlooked). Excellent all around vehicle and it looks good, as well.

Overall it's been a good vehicle. It drives well and is comfortable. My biggest concern is the reliability and functionality of the mobile app. The app needs to be improved for performance and I find it odd that you have to rely on the app to charge the car.

Ok EV but pricey

The vehicle drives and rides fine. The interior is cheap and it shows compared to my Nissan Ariya. The lane following feature is plagued with bugs. I mainly drive highway and it still struggles. The eye attention feature is quite annoying.
