Love my Hybrid Sonata; But fix the items below, please Hyundai!

1-Touch screen sensitivity is bad and you can‘t reprogram that function. 2- Put a real spare tire and tire jack in the car at purchase. 3- Doors unlock when car is put in park and you can’t change that. Let me unlock my own doors. 4- The car is so quiet, it’s easy to walk away thinking it’s switched off. Add a message indicator to let you know this car is off. 5- If the keyfodd battery or car battery goes out, your in trouble and stranded. You can’t do anything but call for a wrecker. 6- Send out discount coupons for oil changes at least 3 times a year. 7- Need cameras on all sides of the car.

What a great car.

I never had a problem since owning this car for over five years now. The only thing my passenger do not like is the front passenger seat which is a little low and no upward adjustment.Everything else is good.

2013 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid

The overall performance of the 2013 Sonata Hybrid is good but not great. Mileage for a hybrid vehicle is poor to bad. I would recommend against anyone purchasing the hybrid; the non-hybrid Sonata is probably a better choice.

Have had problems with it that were not expected at all - dies out at "panic stops", battery and auxiliary units both went at 2-1/2 years! Had navi system replaced twice so far - once when first purchased and am waiting for new unit again.

Hyundia Sonata hybrid 2013 & 2016

I was happy with 2013 until the battery issue came up and only guaranteed 2 years for a full coverage. I have never had a better yet go bad this early on a car. Normally they last 5 to 6 years. When water pump went out this spring I am wondering if I got the right car. But giving you guys another chance with my 2016 Hyundia Sonata Hybrid. It is getting great gas mileage.

Not a bad 3 year hybrid from Hyundai but given it back to Hyundai at lease end

Leased this car in 2013 based on getting a great deal on a leftover. Mileage is okay in warm weather as I received combined 43 mpg. Cold weather with heater and seats on I get low 30's mpg which is not much different than regular Sonata. Car is quiet on highways, seats not that comfortable on long drives. Cargo capacity in the trunk is not that great due to battery compartment taking up a lot of room. In the winter, snow tires are highly recommended. Eco efficient tires are designed for fuel economy and not deep snow. The only problem I had with the car was the refrigerant with the A/C unit somehow escaped and wasn't covered in the warranty but no leaks were detected. Other than that, it's been very reliable. Anyway, car is going back to Hyundai at lease end and I will look at 2017 Sonata hybrid or 2017 Ioniq. Overall, if your in the market for a used fuel efficient car this isn't a bad choice.

this hybrid car is not really worth miles per gallon gas is less then non hybrid car no power at all buy regular sonata that is a very good car.

Not Worth the Cost

Has not lived up to advertised gas mileage. In fact after 30,000 miles gas mileage dropped below 30 mpg on the Highway. Dealership could not add any reason. I recently had the Spark plugs changed at 62,000 miles. Resulted in better MPG (32-33) but no where near what was advertised (38-40).

It doesn't have the weight and feels tinny. I usually drive it around town and on the freeway to close appointments.

Since the trouble with the batteries, I do not feel safe. I worry I will get stuck somewhere and have to call towing or service to come and get the car.

issue with Trnasmission

In three years less then 50 K mile transmission went out. Glad that I had warranty working and also purchased Extended warranty. I would not by Hyundai any more. I spend $34K to purchase this car. Could have purchase another car instead of Hyundai. Front Passenger seat is really low. It is not adjustable . Seems like you are seating in the whole
