Excellent Styling and Technology...Mileage didn't meet expectations

This is my 3rd Sonata Hybrid and I've loved each of them but my current one a bit less. They styling is great. The technology is great. The smooth ride is great. The only issue I've had with this 2024 Limited model is the mileage. I'm getting a little over 41 mpg after over 11k miles. In my others I averaged a combined mileage of 45 - 46 mpg through my ownership. Dealership says nothing wrong with it. Although I like the car, and it is very comfortable, I'm thinking of exchanging it and moving to another brand. The mileage was one of my main reasons for buying it.

Pretty good car overall. Blue Link is absolutely terrible

Vehicle gets good mileage. Not exactly what was advertised but still very good. Blue Link has repeatedly failed. To the point of been locked out of my car without a key and for months at a time I haven't been able to remote start the car or turn on climate control... Which essentially negates the entire point of Blue Link

Overall Good car

I have the top of the line hybrid Sonata. The interior should have been up graded. Good gas milage. The safety features are excellent. No folding side mirrors. I like the heads up display. When exiting the car you can not lock the car from the interior buttons, a big negative for me. No spare tire another big negative. Otherwise I have not had any problems with the car in 2 years.

Why We Like the Hyundai Hybrid Sonata

We like everything just about everything thr Sonata Hybrid has to offer! So far, going on about 20 months since the purchase, we have no complaints and when we walk up to it, we still appreciate it's styling and proud of its ownership. There is only one issue that needs to be corrected....which I'll explain in 'Cons'.

Best Car I’ve Ever Had

Only one complaint and it’s minor. The car won’t remote start from app with settings I’ve put in. Otherwise this car is perfect. Great, smooth ride. Interior is very comfortable with everything perfect for the driver and passengers. Love all the bells and whistles it comes with.

Great Car, Terrible Service

When you buy a car, you don't really think to research how good the service department is at the dealership. I'll never make that mistake again. The service department at Mike Morgan Hyundai of Shreveport is the worst collection of people I have ever met. Incompetent from top to bottom. Long wait times to get any kind of service beyond routine oil changes. The service coordinators (the people who check you in and "manage" your service experience) are the worst. They lie to you about appointment wait times, prevent you from speaking to the mechanics/technicians, and generally don't listen when you tell them your car has a problem. I am so glad that my car is beyond the initial comprehensive warranty phase, and I am out of free oil changes. Now I can take the car to a competent mechanic.

My Sonata Hybrid Limited

Well built and comfortable, with just a few flaws. Some controls like heat/ac function are definitively very tiny, barely visible during the day. Side mirrors don't fold, so you will not get a visible signal that the car was fully locked.

Fantastic Sonata with Excellent Features

Aside from the recent over the air update that disabled the ability to use Climate Start with heat (car starts but no heat, defrost, etc.), I absolutely love this car. The safety features, head up display, new interior and overall driving experience are the best I've ever seen. I was worried when I traded in my Gas Turbo Sonata for this hybrid, but I haven't noticed any power issues when I need to punch it. Gas mileage has averaged out to above 50 mpg, so no issues there.

Solid Performance with Comfort

My Hyundai Sonata Hybrid is a superior vehicle. This is my third Hyundai and first hybrid. Getting 500+ miles per tank is great! Vehicle features are excellent. My one criticism is the touch door locks. It doesn't work in colder weather with gloves on.

I can’t wait to get rid of this car!

I do not like this car. Has Greg bells and whistles and looks pretty. The car is made crappy. It falls apart someone sneezes. Battery dies in the cold and warm weather or if you don’t drive it for 48 hours. It’s just horrible.

Plus and minus of Sonata Hybrid

Negative: control panel and steering wheel controls are too close together, and DNR control is difficult to maneuver. Also, passenger seat is too low and uncomfortable.
