This vehicle has great gas mileage when driven responsibly. Phone pairing system in this vehicle is great but when speaking to another person may have a hard time understanding what you're saying. The back up cameras don't work well when the weather is poor because the visibility is blocked and a blur.

Sonata Hybrid

Disappointed that car does not have warning chimes when turn indicators stay on too long. Also, lack of power fold -in side mirrors. Cabin noise insulation could be a lot better. More accessories should be available to enhance the look of the car, e.g. illuminated door plates that glow Sonata. Also there should be separate air vents and controls for rear, as well as charging port for cell phones, operating portable coolers, etc. One other thing, the overall ride is average. I think it should more "cushy" considering the purchase cost of the car. A standard spare tire kit should be included at no additional costs.

Room for inprovement

overall pleased with car, dealer service is great, quality of vehicle is good. Was in a 2015 Sonata GLS rental recently when we had a blowout on left rear. We were not in a safe area, which concerned me. If we had been in my car, we would have NOT had a spare. Dealer said reason for no spare was to save weight, I thought it would be there was no space for it in the hybrid which of course is incorrect. I am in the process of buying an after market spare and jack for my car. I will not purchase another car without a spare. It's not important unless you and family are broken down on the side of the road at midnight while out of town. At the least, I should have had the option at purchase.

Nice Car

Overall comfortable ride, good sound system, love the hybrid, do not like the cheap materials used on the exterior, good warranty, good reliability. Decent pickup. Indoor space and headroom is decent and car also looks stylish.

My feelings on the 2014 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid

I love the handling and performance of this vehicle in most weather. it is also very comfortable and responsive. I could not complain about its fuel efficiency. I am however unimpressed with its handling in winter weather. I have lived in very snowy areas and this car would not do. Road handling in snow or ice is terrible and where there is any speakable snowfall it will get stuck over and over. if it wasn't for the handling in winter weather I would give this car a 5 star, but because of it I can only go 4 stars.

All around a good car for the money

The car has one of the best if not the best head and leg room interiors of those I tested (I'm 6' 1"). I have no problem getting comfortable even with the panoramic sun roof (which I love). In late spring through late fall/early winter, it is easy to get the 36/40 mpg the hybrid is rated (I sometimes get higher than 40 on the highway), however, in the winter the mileage does drop and my local mileage is closer to 33 - 34 mpg. The car is comfortable and has everything I need in a car that is used for local driving and trips. I didn't rate the car five stars because there is always room for improvement (even if it is mostly minor). I din't buy the car because it is fun to drive (that's what my old 1972 Z28 Camaro is for). I brought it for comfort and mileage and I have been pleased with it so far after about 2 1/2 years.

Hyundai Sonata Hybrid

I have been driving the Hyundai Sonata Hybrid for past 3 years and I love the car. It is comfortable, rarely had a problem. But the most amazing part is post-purchase service. They are really very helpful and want to do as much as possible. I wish the lease payments were better designed.

Nice vehicle with latest bells and whistles

The car was super dependable and I got much better gas mileage than my previous vehicle which I really enjoyed. It had all the latest bells and whistles which was a nice upgrade from my 1997 car! I found the acceleration a little quirky (a slight delay from battery to engine) and although the tank was rated for 17 gallons, I could only fit 14. Speaker system could have been better. It had decent handling and a roomy cabin. The styling was on the lower end, but the price point was such that you wouldn't have a super flashy interior. Navigation worked well and was pretty easy to use.
