2015 Hyundai Sonata Hyb

Love our car except for the original tires and doors. Original tires were worthless in snow. Should never be put on cars in snow states. Talked to 5 other Sonara owners who experienced the same results. After less than 10,000 miles I paid $500.00 dollars more and bought a set of Michelin tires and have not had a problem since. With the original tires I couldn't even dare leave a Cache Valley and if it snowed I parked my Sonata and drove my Toyota. I recommend you put good tires on to begin with. Also my wife and I both find it hard to get in and out with the way the doors open. We just can't seem to get our feet in and out the way the doors open and close. We have talked to others and found the same problem.. Also salesmen should be upfront in telling people about the loss of gas mileage in cold weather. Everyone I have talked to including us have seen about a 10 to 12 mile per gallon drop off during the winter months.

my Hyundai Sonata Hybrid.

I have had my Sonata Hybrid for about two years now, and initially part exchanged a standard Sonata (with 130,000 miles) for it. I live in Peoria, but work in downtown Phoenix. I am environmentally conscious, so the Hybrid fits my needs from many angles. I drive about 15 miles each way into work in stop-start traffic and still get well over 36 miles per gallon. Obviously I'm not out racing against Ferraris, but the car has great get up and go. On several occasions I have driven to Dallas Texas to visit family, with no problems, regularly driving "close" to the speed limits (even on the 80mph stretch in Texas). I only have 20,000 on the car at the moment, but between the two Sonatas, The only problem I have experienced was a slight oil leak on the valve cover of my original Sonata, which was replaced under warranty, and was so minor that I hadn't even noticed it, but I was advised of it when I took it for service at Don Carltons Hyundai in Tulsa. I'm expecting many years of worry free driving, and know if I do have any problems, the people at Larry Millers in Peoria will be able to fix it for me. Incidentally I traded a Mercedes 500 SEL for my first Sonata and was skeptical about reliability (because of the problems I had had with the Mercedes). I have been pleasantly surprised with my Hyundais and they have been the most reliable vehicles I have ever owned.

A comfortable and good looking, too

Quiet, comfortable, good ride, tasteful styling. The only real drawbacks are (1) lack of support for a flash drive bigger than 8GB; (2) the high cost of the Blue Link function (not a big loss, given Google Maps on my phone).

Beautiful car inside and out, but lacks performance

Performance is horrible when the vehicle is in electric mode. I'm constantly switching to sport mode, which defeats the purpose of a hybrid since my mpg is not so great.

Good vehicle

Have appreciated the Hyundai Sonata, in various configurations, for several years now. It has a comfortable ride and room for four easily. My experience has been very positive with the vehicle, and with Hyundai (local and corporate) during a problem period (a prior Sonata). The warranty, unlike any other in the automotive industry, says that Hyundai believes in the product they make, and makes me feel good about it too.

Sonata Hybrid

I love the outer appearance, especially the word blue on my car. It's like a nickname. The silver is a magical color and the design of the car is eye catching even after having it for 1+years. Great gas mileage! Rides great even on long (12 hour) trips. Trunk room is smaller than a nonhybrid (my 2009). The driver's seat is HORRIBLE!!! Too hard with a lump that hits square in the coccyx area. Still, I can drive long distances without too much physical discomfort. It does not fit a 5 foot female: not high enough. The side mirrors create a significant blind spot. There is a rear camera but I would rather have a beep that tells me someone or something is too close. LOVE the keyless entry and start. I also love that it howls when I leave it on and leave the car. It is SOOOO quiet. I do not like the little blue light that stays on in the ceiling (supposedly to light the gear shift and cup holder area). It is a major distraction at night and there is no way to turn it off! Cup holders are in the wrong spot. Poised for a spill. Love the Bluetooth hands free phone. I want that seat to be like the 2009 Sonata. Miss my old car!!!!!!

Awesome Car

I love this car. It handles very well and its very attractive. I only purchase gas every week and a half but that is only because I commute 50 miles per day. I'd highly recommend this car to a friend! I wish it had better upholstery on the inside or else I'd rate this 5-stars

Generally I like the Hyundai very much

This is you being a real pain. Demanding a minimum of two hundred characters, when I've already filled out your form as much as i wanted to goes above and beyond what i feel like doing. Obviously i like the Hyundai, this being my 4th one.

Blue

I love this car. The ride is quiet and smooth, gas mileage great but the view can be difficult. The side view mirror area is to wide and hinders view. Not good! Very roomy interior. I'm in sales and travel with clients from time to time and I always get great compliments. The most common response is "This is a Hyandai? Wow! I didn't know they made cars like this!"

My review`

Excellent styling . The acceleration from a standing stop was very good and pickup at highway speeds was very good also. Miles per gallon in city were great but the highway miles per gallon were just fair. Legroom in the rear seats was excellent for the size of this vehicle.

I love my sonata except for the windshield spray problem. I repacked my Prius with the Sonata hybrid n it gave me a more secured feeling unlike the Prius.

Gives me the feeling of security compared to my Prius. The electric battery that I replaced in the Prius cost me $4500 n when I got into an accident, they did not give me any credit for that battery which was only 2years old. Hyundae has a way better warranty than any Toyota cars. This is my personal experience no telly friends to buy a Hyundae!

I Love Hyundai

This is my third Hyundai Sonata although this one is a hybrid. The car looks amazing and gets great gas mileage. The only thing I would change is for the front passenger seat to be able to be adjusted. Mine is a 2015 so this may be corrected on the newer models. I have regular maintenance done and have had no mechanical problems.

Fuel economy is great

Overall very nice car. Sluggish takeoff from stop sometimes. All the other features are good. With new tires the car handles fine in winter condition but of course deeper snow I would not advise driving long distance. The braking system has worked very nice. Stops on a dime on dry roads.

2015 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid

The 15 Sonata Hybrid is a very solid car. Mine is black with gray leather interior. When the engine is off an you drive the car in battery mode it turns into a car you could sleep next to, so very quiet. It is quick off the line, pull up and realize you needed to be in the lane beside the one your currently in, no prob, just hit the gas and hang on! The off the line will make you think your in some kind of sports car. Finally it's luxurious, a formal style car that you don't mind pulling up at your favorite restaurant and letting the valet park it. So it is a very nice car to drive! In summary, it is a fun car to drive, and the 2015 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid gets great gas mileage!

2015 Hyb.

This is one great car , 42 to 45 mpg, rides like a high-end sedan. There is a slight bump up when it switches from electric mode to gas but nothing to get twisted over. I wish they made it without the sunroof option, rarely use it here in Fl. This is the most trouble free vehicle I ever owned. Slight cosmetic flaw developed with the trim around the windshield(paint cracking) which they replaced under warranty. Over all I would highly recommend this model and when ready would purchase the same.
