The WOW factor !

I purchased the Sonata about 14 months ago . It has about 12000 miles with no repair issues ! The gas mileage is better than stated , its getting over 60 MPH combined street /Hwy. I think for all the features that are included its a great sedan for the money . I have had Toyotas and Hondas and this Hyundai Sonata is better value for all get !

Quiet ride and energy conservation.

My hybrid has been a dream vehicle. I enjoy seeing that i can improve air quality and conserve gas. I feel empowered. It is so quiet and doesn’t interfere with conversations inside the car. It is very responsive.

Great car but has issues

So my car is awesome...sometimes. I am a pilot so i love plenty of electronics and got this car with every bell and whistle i could. It is a joy to drive, very quiet, good sound system, the automatic cruise control will slow me down to the speed of the car in front of me, and even stop the car if they slam on their break....ive become very spoiled. That said, I am currently on the 3rd transmission in this car since i bought it in june of 2016. Since ive had it, ive lost two transmissions, an oil pump, and had to get the rear wheels aligned! (i've never had to do that on any car before). Apparently the air filter t the passenger area gets dirty much faster than those on other cars, because every time ive gone in, it was recommended that i buy a new one. last negative...it doesnt come with a spare. I drive alot and that is unacceptable to me, but unfortunately now that i have one, i have a very small amount of trunk space left. So yes, while i do love the car, next time I may go back to Nissan...very dependable cars with LARGE trunks. :) Note: on the ratings below ive had to give it a 6 since it has been in the show a total of 3 months since i bought it.

2016 Hybrid

Outstanding car, this is our 2nd Sonata Hybrid our first was a 2011. Our first one was outstanding and we had over 90,000 miles on it when we purchased the new 2016 Sonata Hybrid. All the things we suggested that should be added on the 2011, were in fact added to the 2016.

I Love My Hyundai!

I couldn't be happier with a car than I am with my Hyundai Hybrid! The gas mileage is extremely good! The car looks great, rides great and is very comfortable. We recently drove it from Longview, Texas to Las Vegas Nevada and had no problems at all!

Hyundai Sonata Hybrid- Fort Mill Hyundai Sales and service are "OFF THE HOOK!"

I love my Hyundai Sonata Hybrid. I am telling you that there will never be another vehicle for me! The vehicle is quiet, safe and has a fantastic ride. I have had THREE HYUNDAI Sonatas! Prior to purchasing a Hyundai, I had a Cadillac CTS and the Hyundai Sonata surpasses the Cadillac in more ways than one. I strongly recommend Fort Mill Hyundai in sales and service! They are the "BEST!" Go test drive one if you do not believe me and you will be SOLD! Try the service department and ask for Dave and you will be impressed then go talk to the pleasant cashier!! "OFF THE HOOK!" Totally NUMBER ONE DEALERSHIP I have ever dealt with!!!!!

Sonata Hybrid

1)The only thing I wish (in retrospect),that the hybrid would have come equipped with a spare tire and jack. ( I had an experience 2x when trying to get a flat tire fixed ) Should Hyundai opt to add this tire and jack, I am sure that it may involve a design change as well an increased cost to the purchase of the hybrid. 2)I notice, that my wife struggles a bit with the driver side of the visor, which barely clears her head when the visor is swung to left for sunshine protection. 3) Both my wife and I notice, that the seatbelt locking position is a bit too low, to engage the (front)seatbelts locking in one try. 4) On the more positive side, we love the spacious trunk size!! (could this be redesigned somehow, to accommodate the spare tire and jack?) Go Hyundai!!!! You're a great import alternative to the U.S. made cars.

My 2016 Hyundai Sonata

This is the 2nd Hyundai Hybrid Sonata I have purchased in the last 6 years. I am currently in the military and I used to drive from South Chesterfield to Portsmouth every day for work. Doing all that driving puts a hard Ware and tear on any vehicle. I must admit my Hyundai sonata took it in stride and was very economical in the gas mileage. I would recommend this vehicle to everyone.

Love My Car!

I owned a 2012 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid car and enjoyed it. The upgrade to my current 2016 Hyundai Sonatal Hybrid was a great move! The electronic safety features are great - would never buy another car without them. The 'ride' and outside sound are better than it was on the 2012. I often switched from the hands-free option to my phone with the 2012 car; the 2016 microphone is much better - and it makes me safer. The interior is attractive and so comfortable. I can transport 4 adults with no complaints about 'knee room' or uncomfortable seating I look forward to seeing what Hyundai can offer in the new 2018 model. The outside appearance actually gets unsolicited compliments. Love your cars.

We are very pleased with how comfortable our Sonata is. Also gas mileage is very important to us and we have not been disappointed. We would definitely consider another Hyundai for our next car. We had a Hyundai XG350 a number of years ago and were so pleased with that we are glad that we,came back for another one.

Wife purchases car without husband.

Walking into Red Houglan Hyundai and walking out with the perfect car was easy and comfortable for me. My husband was unsure of my Hybrid choice until our first road trip. Now, we are both thrilled with my car as it is a dream to drive and fits us both.

A wonderful car with a glaring, costly flaw.

I love everything about the Sonata but one thing. I hit a high curb and tore out the bumper lining—$7,000 to fix it. Then it happened again. I have been driving for 32 years and this is the ninth car I have owned, and never had such a problem. It is the only Hybrid on the market that is worth buying, imho. But I wonder if anyone else has had this trouble?

The best car on the road!

The best car on the road! I traveled from VA Beach to Fl and got 57.7 MPG! Absolutely love my Hyundai Blue Link Hyb. This car is very comfortable, I am short and love that I can raise and lower the driver and passengers seat! I feel like a grown-up, that can see over the dash!

Terrific car!

The gas mileage is awesome. 45-50 mpg on longer drives. 35-40 in town driving. Quiet, roomy. Beautiful body with good storage in trunk. I wish back seats went down when needed. My fourth Hyundai and I would buy another!

I love the hybrid but.......

I now am having a second thought of trading my hybrid for a conventional car like an Elantra. The experience I had with the hybrid is scary and I felt disable not knowing what to do when that hybrid system failed and there is nothing I can do but have it towed. Unlike conventional car where I can at least find a way on my own to make it work. Hybrid is excellent to me when it comes to performance but when it comes to peace of mind, especially at night where all dealers are closed and I am in remotest area. I just hope that Hyundai can enable their hybrid to have a switch power mode to just allow the gas engine to function while disabling the hybrid system.

Love the car

Good value for what we paid. It is sporty to drive with excellent acceleration. The interior is well made and very comfortable. I wish the blue link came with a longer subscription. The trunk is spacious and can hold a lot of groceries.

My baby!

This car is amazing! It is great on gas and truly impressed me. I upgraded from a 2012 Hyundai Sonata to this one! I wish I would have gotten power seats and leather seats! The cloth seats are not good if you have children. I am pleased with this vehicle!

Love it!!!!!???,

Gas mileage great even in this extreme cold, service staff very friendly and quick to schedule oil changes,lots of room in the trunk, driver visor extends, engine very very quiet, lots of leg room and car handles great.

This has been a trouble free amazingly competent car with excellent economy

I cannot say enough positive things about my Sonata. It is the limited with all options and everything works as it should. I have 40K miles in 1.5 years, 70% highway. Am averaging 46mpg summer and winter combined. The car is very comfortable for long distances, extremely quiet, and a joy to drive. The biggest testimony is that I do volunteer drives and numerous people have commented on the quality, asking what kind of car this is.
