Wow

We were wowed by the ride, quietness, and fuel economy. We thought it wouldn’t have pep or power and we were wrong. The electric side of this vehicle recharged as it is operated taking away any need for plug in issues. We are delighted with gas mileage ranging from 39 to 50 depending upon where we go and how we drive. I honestly don’t understand why these hybrid vehicles aren’t more popular. This one is still fun to drive a year later.

What a deal.

We purchased this car to replace a Volkswagen Jetta TDI that was recalled. The car is bigger and much more spacious, and get equal or better mileage. My wife drives it on a daily basis to bring our kids to/from school, practice, outings etc., and has never had a problem with it. It carries friends and their belongings easily. The car is very stylish, looking somewhat like the same model year Lexus, is luxurious, and has a nice technology package. This is our second Hyundai, and if its anything like the first, it will be a workhorse for many years to come.

Sonata Hybrid Limited

This is one of the best cars I've ever owned. Its quiet, fuel efficient (44/45 mpg), has great pickup if you need it, with the electric motor assisting the small IC engine. It has good seats unlike many asian-designed cars. And it has really good headlights. The only technical flaw is that the car wanders on the highway at freeway speeds. Other cars I've owned sit in a very tight steering track but the Sonata wanders a little. Also the 2-driver seat-adjust/side mirror adjust needs to be constantly reset.

What this machine needs.

I love this car: However it needs more high voltage battery. In city driving -stop/go it is too dependent on the gas engine. It needs to stay on battery because another stop light is lust a few yards ahead. So put more HV battery in the car and keep it on battery until open road. Then let it go to gas and recharge at that time. I owned a 1994 Sonata which was better than the 17. Neither has enough HV battery. Put rear-end cameras that look sideways while backing out of parking slots. It is very difficult to see out of this car on the rear sides. Two more cameras will be a big help. Improve the cabin fresh air ventilation. There are many times when fresh air is all that is needed. Why run the AC when cool fresh air is available? Improve the insulation between the engine compartment and the cabin. To much engine heat come into the cabin.

Sonata Hybrid

Almost 60 mpg if you are light footed. Amazing performance and the multimedia features and CarPlay make driving enjoyable. Trunk space is a mind blower. We have a three series BMW and the capacity of the trunk space alone is amazing. The car cover I had on the Bimmer was loose, but when out in the Sonata is tight. It’s a bigger car and has really nice handling capabilities. You can’t go wrong with this car. Drive slow and it’s on electric power. Cruise at 70, level ground, no load and you’re using electricity. What a sleeper. Not everyone olknows about the value of a Hyundai. You won’t be dissatisfied.

My Sonata

We really love our Hyundai Sonata Hybrid. Mileage is great, and so far problems have been minimal. We are, however, disappointed that one size of the horn does not work, and Hyundai refuses to repair or replace it.

Love my car!

My car is important to me. Having a busy lifestyle,with a lot of running around to do, I find my hybrid is an excellent choice for me. Love the gas mileage and comfort of the Sonota. The only thing I don’t like is the light on at night in the cabin.

2017 Sonata Hybrid (base) 23,500 mile updaate

Only problem with vehicle is a slight shifting problem there very first time it shifts from 2nd to 3rd when temp is below 32 degrees or so. Once that has occurred problem/issue never repeats the rest of the day. Everything else works and operates same as the day I drove it off the lot. Still getting better mpg then advertised. Very happy with purchase as my daily driver work car...

An excellent value

We have put a lot of miles on our hybrid. The gas mileage is terrific and the vehicle is an extremely comfortable ride for long trips. The workmanship and the standard features are hard to beat for this price range.

I highly recommend the Hyundai Sonata Hybrid as I feel safe while driving. It is fun to drive as the ride is comfortable and smooth. I am saving a LOT on gas, and the features are amazing! It is a beautiful car!

I love my Sonata Hybrid. Great gas mileage.

Great vehicle, this is my 5th Hyundai. I would recommend a Hyundai vehicle, they have a great warranty and are very reliable. Fun to drive, with good gas mileage. Once you have one, you will get another.

I like the car We paid to much for it The finance manager said we had to pay Hyundai 6 month high interest rate before we could apply for an outside lower car loan to get the discount they were supposedly giving us on the last year price on the car we were buying All in all I FELT THEY WERE NOT AN HONEST COMPANY THAT COULD BE DEALT WITH.

Hyundai Sonata Hybrid Deserves Accolades

Purchased 1/1/2018, I enjoy driving the Sonata Hybrid. We have owned BMW and Mercedes over the years. By far, this is the most quiet and comfortable car ever in our driving experience. Most passengers are surprised at the quality and ride. Family members own Volvo, Audi, Toyota Camry, and Honda Accord which I strongly feel can't compare to the ride and amenities the Hyundai Sonata Hybrid offers. I have averaged higher MPG than various reviews will report. The terrain where I drive is mostly long hills and dales. I take advantage of coasting to let EV kick-in. At times at the end of a trip the read out 48 mpg!

I really love it!!

This vehicle really exceeded my expectations. Very roomy spacious love the sound very clear the lighting at night is amazing very quiet motor really recommend it to anyone in the market looking to buy a vehicle. Excellent gas mileage too!!

love our sonata hybrid........no problems...smooth, quiet, comfortable, great mph.....3 driving modes......it's everything we need and want.....our previous car, a 2002, was nice....got it by truck.......checked out what was around........we hit a home run.......the car, the dealership.....the best i've dealt with.......

Highly recommend this vehicle.

Good vehicle for traveling - excellent fuel economy - a delight to drive - good outside visibility when driving and easy to see traffic around your vehicle - interior lighting for night driving very good especially controls on steering wheel and other select buttons - love the overhead center light in front seat but not distracting to driver.

Solid car- strong performer- looks great too

Love Hyundai- this is my 3rd Hyundai and they do not disappoint. Added value on my new Sonata Hybrid is the gas savings! Crazy great gas mileage- I wouldn’t have believed it if I haven’t lived it this past year- up to 50 mpg - fantastic.
