Such a savings

Having the combination of EV and gas is great. All electric would be issue for longer trips, which we do only three times a year. But would have to rent a car if ours was all electric Have found both our Hyundai s very reliable transportation And dealership service department has been great

Great Automobile

We're very satisfied with our 2017 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid. Commuting over 40 miles each way to work every day is the reason we looked at the various hybrids on the market. We liked the quality, comfort, warranty, and looks of the Sonata. The mileage could be a little better than we expected, but considering that we typically drive all interstate driving between 65 to 70 MPH, I expected around 48 MPG, but I am getting about 40 to 42 at best. I won't complain about that considering the size of the car. Plenty of horsepower when accelerating on an interstate ramp and no complaints whatsoever. A lot more standard features than other hybrid models on the market. Great value and quality and nicely designed and quiet interior and high quality materials. No noise when switching from electric to engine. High tech dash with hybrid displays. Very impressed at 40,000 miles.

Great car for small families

I bought this car the end of March 2019. The only problem I have had with it is the hybrid system warning would pop up on long drives. Other than that the backseat seats 3 comfortably and the trunk is pretty decent sized for a car. The gas mileage is really amazing and the drive is very smooth.

Love my car

I love my car... I'm just concerned if these little things keep breaking is the warranty cover what breaks...I really like my car just hope it doesn't keep breaking I hope my car.last me... Dont want to buy another one..

Sonata

Needs a spare tire. Hybrid is nice. Hybrid failure is very bad - has had 2 problems with hybrid system. Thank goodness was covered under warranty. Climate control is good, but it gets confused if there is more than a couple of degrees difference between driver and passenger.

Sonata plug in hi-brid

The low battery range made me hesitant about buying it because it was definitely under the average commuting range of 50 RT miles. Driving it for roughly 2 years now, I have not changed my mind...battery range on the minimum should be at the least be 50 Rt miles. I also found it's pick up very slow. But I am not a racing guy. So, Other than these, it is such an excellent car I proudly recommended it to friends.

My experience with the plug-in sonata

I couldn't be happier, the car is solid, has a quiet ride and is perfect to save gas in the city as well as on the road. Having a 220v evse at home allow us to commute around relying only on the electric motor ( huge $$$ savings. On the road it cruises like the old hybrid, around 40 miles/gallon. Not many sedans are capable of achieving this. The 60k/ 100k warranty gives me a piece of mind like no other. So far so good!

A good value

Overall the Sonata Hybrid is a practical vehicle, well built and attractive to look at. I rate the workmanship quality as high with much attention to detail. The fuel mileage has been as advertised @ 40+MPG. It's a very comfortable car for the long trip.

Hybrid Sonata

Very nice car interior size is great and seat comfort is very good. The interior is very quiet and which adds to the overall comfort. Getting around 44-46 miles per gal on Hwy so it is very cost effective for Calf.

As good as my 2012 Sonata Hybrid and the 2017 Sonata Hybrid gets better mileage per gallon.

The 2017 Sonata Hybrid gets 45 to 52 miles per gallon in the summer time and in the winter weather I see 38 to 45 miles per gallon. The driver seat can be adjusted high and closer to the brake and accelerator to accommodate my short frame and to see over the front hood. I also love the backup camera to see clearly most times what is behind the car when backing up.

Excellent car, I am impressed

Worth buying for the price, mile age, space, comfort and looks. I am happy with my Sonata. I used two dealerships because of where I bought initially and later where I moved at. The coupons that one dealership gives you to service your car are not accepted at another dealership. So to get the service I have to driver long distance and sometimes I just go to my area dealer and spend money, and unable to use the coupon I was given. I wish the coupons they give you when you buy your car are honored at all dealership.

Awesome Car. Bad Cruise Control

We love our car. It gets over 50mpg most trips. It's quiet, smooth, and powerful when we need it to be. The cruise control is terrible. On a moderate incline, the engine surges up to redline. All in all, it's a great car. We wouldn't like it as much if we would have paid full price for it but we got a good deal on it.

2017 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid LT

I have nothing additional to add to this review, I hope the build quality lasts for the duration of the warranty. I am not happy with the right front door passenger side door panel and sound dampening. The car rides fairly smooth, braking is a bit heavy, the different acceleration modes are fantastic.

I love my Sonata

I am very happy with my Sonata Hybrid. Love the style & comfort it has. There is plenty of room for four & even five with a little minor initial discomfort (clicking in the seatbelts for the person in the middle is a problem if they are large. I think it should get better gas mileage than it does for being a hybris but I guess since it is not as small as most hybrids are it is not too bad.

Nice car, fantastic gas mileage...especially on long highway trips. Mileage around town is better than the 2012 Sonata Hybrid we had previously. Very comfortable, very roomy trunk. Glad we purchased her.

ALways great til the charger cable blew out our GFI charger outlet and almost started a fire in our garage.

After the original charger cable almost started a fire in our garage by burning out the GFI charging outlet we had to replace GFI and get a new charging unit for $ 2000.00. Only to find out when we went to charge the car that the cable was 2 yards shorter than original design and didn't reach our GFI any more. Are we supposed to move our charging station because the company engineers didn't think about that with the redesign. We cant use any extension type cord as it will negate any warantees left on the car even though it has only gone 40,000 miles.
