Hybrid

I like the car, but mileage should be better for a hybrid. The stereo records the first 10 stations, great for sirius radio and backing up to songs on other stations. The undercarriage is literally cardboard.

The overall quality of the sonata is great.i am satisfied with it. The vehicle handling is good, the rideability is great, with the vehicle being very responsive to the wheel. The hybrid features the sonata has make it a sound investment.

second sonata hybrid

this vehicle is our second Sonata hybrid. had good experience with the first and wanted to try the next generation. the styling is better and there are manynice features such as a backup camera. we intend to keep this Sonata for a long time.

My new Hyundai Sonata Hybrid

More than I expected - excellent gas mileage - lifetime battery warranty. The car is sporty and rides like a luxury car. The tinted windows are a must for Florida. Pinstriping was a plus I wasn't expecting. Dealership was SUPER working with me on the trade.

Great car for the money

See pros and cons. Although I wrote so many cons, this is a great car for the money and I am overall very happy with it. It drove much better than the Camry I was thinking of buying and was thousands less. I have no regrets for this purchase 4 months later. I marked performance low at a 7 just because the expected gas mileage didn't happen.

2017 Hyundai Sonata Limited

Great car for ride and features. Love all of the features this car has for the money. Great look and styling. Nice ride. Overall I am happy with the car and would recommend it to others. A couple of things that need to be improved is it's winter weather handling. Has a difficult time in wet heavy snow and ice. Initial tire quality is junk. They are needing to be replaced in just 25,000 miles.

Sonata Plug-in Hybrid

The car has a lot of the new safety options included in the purchase price, which I think that is a plus. It drives like a new car should. But, I purchased a 2017 model in December of 2017 and since there has been 2 recalls on my model. Hyundai is quick to let me know to repair these recalls. Overall, I think the mileage I get on my car, does make up for the time in the shop. I do drive a lot of miles.

Best hybrid on the market!

Glad to have leased the Sonata Hybrid last year. Definitely the best choice at this time of rising gas prices. Was happy to log 43 mpg this Memorial day weekend. Compared to other Hyundai vehicles I've owned this is by far the best experience I've had. Former owned or leased Azeras and find this Sonata Hybrid just as comfortable and definitely a safer vehicle.

2017 Sonata Hybrid Limited

With the exception of the cruise control, I very much like the car. Good fuel economy, comfortable, quiet interior, nicely appointed with plenty of room. Good acceleration with decent handling, taking into consideration it is no Corvette. This is my third Hyundai.

Sonata plugin hybrid

good vehicle overall except many small issues started coming after 20k miles, too many recalls. roomy interior but trunk size is very small, more battery milage could have been better, audio and navigational menus are little confusing

Very Good

Overall I am very pleased. My only concern is that periodically the safety features that I count on cease working for a time. This is not because of dirt or salt on the sensors. I do not know the reason. The problem however goes away in a short period of time. Sometimes I just need to turn the car off and back on again. Another problem is the backseat window safety belts. I have explained this below.

It was recommended to me by a friend when I told him that I wanted to renew my old car and we went to Hyundai. I liked the hybrid sonata and I got it, it is an unbeatable and very economic car, it fascinates me.

Good vehicle - couple of flaws that are a nusiance

Bought this car as a daily driver to/from work. approximately 22 miles with both high speed multi-lanes and narrow lows speed traffic/stop lights. I consistently meet or beat the predicted mpg. Great Value for the money. irks - sometimes when temps below 43 degrees it downshifts instead of upshifts (2nd to low when expecting 2nd to 3rd) with no real load. and it downshifts poorly under braking coming to a stop. This is often referred to as "sticky" or "touchy" brakes. Not the brakes, but rather as you brake, car is displaying "EV" (and mode is ECO) you get a hard downshift causing you to shift forward and thereby pressing harder on the brake pedal. I test drove their other newer hybrid vehicles and they see m to have that sorted out. Would think this would be a software update.. Otherwise, I do my best to recommend this car to any of my coworkers with longer drives... I am very happy with this vehicle to date (18K+ miles). Made trip to WI 2 times in dead of winter (+850 miles) and only need one stop for fill up so can pick best price stations anywhere and make it. Note best mpg as calculated 47.2 mpg on 10% ethanol, 50.2 mpg on regular (no ethanol), all with ave of 5mph over posted speed limits (min of stop/40 max of 75 mph). Great trunk space on a hybrid tooooooooo......

Nice car

I've generally like the car however it's had more recalls and problems in the year-and-a-half I've owned it than my Toyota did so far and 14 years. I even left out a part of the engine when the car was built. But when the car is running it's a really nice car

Good Bang For Your Buck

The only thing that will keep this from getting a perfect score would be if the gas mileage was slightly higher. Other than that, I love my vehicle and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a first-time Hyundai.

2018 Sonata Hybrid

We purchased our vehicle in March of 2017 and have enjoyed the gas mileage,roomy interior and reliable usage. The areas of improvement would be improvement of the appearance and texture of most of the plastics inside and add padding to center console lid and door areas where your arm rests. We have over 17,000 miles and not a squeak or loose panel as of yet.

Problems with Cruise Control.

I have responded previously about the Cruise Control and no one ever contacted my. I filled the Engineer survey out on the 2103 Sonata Hybrid and now the 2017 Sonata Hybrid and really doubt if anyone cares.

An excellent value

We have put a lot of miles on our hybrid. The gas mileage is terrific and the vehicle is an extremely comfortable ride for long trips. The workmanship and the standard features are hard to beat for this price range.

My Sonata

We really love our Hyundai Sonata Hybrid. Mileage is great, and so far problems have been minimal. We are, however, disappointed that one size of the horn does not work, and Hyundai refuses to repair or replace it.
