Tech issues

Trunk button does not work. Trunk pops open unexpectedly- so far, not while in motion. So far has popped open at least 10 times!!!

Overall, the 2026 Sonata Hybrid is a wonderful car!

Great mileage average about 44-46 mpg, easy to control and fun to drive. Electronic is over complicated but HUD is great idea.

Really liked it at first.

I've only had the car but a few months and it's been in the shop all of September! I was in the auto industry for a long time and totally get that they are a mechanical being, which at times will have challenges, but this has gone on far beyond that. Both National Consumer Affairs and Hyundai Motor America have offered help and follow-up which doesn't happen. By now there should have been a clear game plan with my car and situation, but there is none, so I am the one being penalized for doing business with Hyundai.
