I made a good choice.

The Tucson hybrid features an attractive exterior and well appointed interior. The cabin is relatively quiet while handling is firm and secure. The push button drive and the infotainment system require some getting used to. I would recommend that a Hyundai representative sit with customers a week or two following purchase.

Mixed opinion

I own a 2019 Sante Fe and while I understand the Tucson is in a different class, there are very basic features which are lacking. For instance, the back up camera on the Tucson is ill placed. If it rains the lens of the camera catches all the run off from the rear window making the in vehicle display virtually useless. I’m currently waiting for rear shocks on the Tucson which is also frustrating, especially when I’m told it will be several weeks before they are available to install. There are less than 8k miles on the vehicle The locking mechanism on the drivers door seems to have a mind of it own. Works at times and other times will not lock (or unlock) the vehicle. The rear lift gate doesn’t always respond to the key fob being within range to open.

Love how it drives. Great gas mileage. Great safety stuff.

I have been very happy the last year overall. No major issues. Cup holders in the back are too small and shallow to use. Side door too narrow. Console needs to be bigger.

A great car with two downsides

I love my Tucson except for two features. First, I HATE the loud "beep" when I put the car in reverse. Second, I don't like that I cannot access Apple CarPlay wirelessly. Instead, I have to plug my phone into a USB port. This latter point is particularly puzzling because my 2022 Tucson DID have a wireless connection.

Annoying Rattle

There is a rattle in the dash they can’t seem to fix. Thought it was fixed at one point but it came back. We have owned countless Hyundais, and have raved about them until now. Do not enjoy this car.

Safest Vehicle on the Road

This vehicle is the safest car I’ve ever driven. The hybrid gets 35 mpg and it has a comfortable, quiet drive. I’ve owned the vehicle for one year and I’ve had no issues to speak of.

TUCSON HYBRID REVIEW

Good mpg in town (typically 36 - 48 mpg), hwy mpg worse than competitors @ 28 - 31. Too many fuctions that are not KISS compatible with all the tech. Sales folks can only explain so many of the functions. Steering feels lose.
