Love it except for

The only thing I don’t like is the control panel area for the fan. Temp etc very hard to see the lights and can’t hardly see the display at all when the sun hits it. Not a good design for that

Great car - unfortunate key/battery choices

We love the drive, features, etc. But the car has died on us twice, due to battery drain. Design choices (small Li battery instead of a large 12V), many electrical systems that can cause drain with the vehicle off, and no power tracking within the vehicle. But the worst part is that our 2022 Tucson had mechanical keys buried inside each fob. For 2025, this got removed, so you don't have a necessary key with you, should the 12V battery die.

Active air flap system needs better protection

With less tan 3,000 miles on the car I incurred a $2,400 charge to replace the active air flap system and related bracket. This was caused by a rock getting lodged into the system. Since system is exposed to the elements in the front bumper, it should be protected so rocks can not damage it so easily.

During direct sunlight, the windshield is full of crystalizing. When no sun, the windshield is very clear.

IT IS FAST, FUN TO DRIVE AND COMFORTABLE. HAS A FEW THINGS I REALLY DISLIKE AND ARE PREFERENCES. YOU MAY NOT MIND THEM AT ALL. IT GETS GOOD MILEAGE AND I’M GLAD WE WENT WITH A HYBRID.

Love my Tucson

I love almost everything about my Tucson Limited Hybrid. The fit, finish, interior and exterior are great. Handling is very good, but the ride is stiffer than I am used to. I have never had an SUV. Three things that need improvement. The lane keeping connected to the cruise control ,the lane keeping connected to the driver attention, and the driver attention does not work well. The driver attention disengages lane keeping for me in all most all weather conditions except very cloudy.

Pros: Cargo Capacity, Quiet Ride, Decent Handling Cons: (1) LED Display is frustrating and not legible in bright sunlight. Radio stations can't be set to automatically display when the vehicle is turned on - maddening.

Tucson versus Rav4

There are 2100 miles on the vehicle. It's been returned to the service department twice, on both occasions for the same problem. Regardless of driving mode, cruise or not, driving uphill the engine temperature symbol illuminates and remains on until one eases off the throttle. The RPM range is anywhere between 2100 and 2800. On the first trip to the service department their diagnosis was "coolant level was down a little". They topped the system up. Three days later we are driving to NC, encounter a hill on the outskirts of the Great Smoky mountains and the light comes on. The circumstances were identical to the first occurrence. Returned the vehicle to the service centre, again, explained the circumstances and was assured they would work on it. We left it for an entire week. Five days into the diagnosis a mechanic left a voicemail message asking for a description of the symbol. A picture from the owner's manual had been shared with the staff at the time of dropping the vehicle off. When the vehicle was collected, the information shared was "no fault found". The team has been put on notice, if the condition occurs again, the vehicle will be returned to the dealership and it will remain there.
