Subtle, surprising with some issues

At first glance the 2026 Tucson Hybrid looks similar many of its competitors. It is not a head turner and I am happy that it doesn’t. The magic happens when one gets behind the wheel. The Tucson Hybrid is surprisingly fun to drive while giving me an average of 38 miles per-gallon of gas in the process. However, Apple CarPlay link up is HORRIBLE!!! Sometimes it works and sometimes it just doesn’t! The other issue is the “consider taking a break” feature! On country roads this alarm sounds off every 5 minutes and is making me consider trading the car!!!

review after 4000 miles

Overall, we are very happy with the vehicle. There are a few areas that could be improved. Ride is a little harsh, and a little unstable over a rough surface (lateral steering correction is sometimes needed). Steering feedback is minimal, requiring constant attention when driving straight and not using the lane keep feature. The environmental controls on the lower center panel are small and divert the driver's attention more than is comfortable. Also, in reaching for the controls, sometimes the drive mode button is bumped and changed. It would be nice if the front door storage was better suited for coffee mugs and large water bottles. Setting the regenerative braking level each time the vehicle is started is annoying, and it would be good to have a preset level for startup.

First foreign Purchase

I would give it a 5 if: When stopping with the ACC on the final part of the stop is rather abrupt. My previous Ford edge stopped smoothly like a normal person would. No Support Struts on the Hood

New to hybrid

Still getting accustomed to a new hybrid. Overall I’m happy with it but 3 issues: 1) MPG of 30-32 lower than sticker claim of 36, and 2) CarPlay won’t Bluetooth sync with my iPhone 15 even after numerous attempts to reset and fix. Only works with USB. 3) rear seat belts very hard to buckle, alleviated only by purchasing Seat Belt Extenders.

A Swiss Army Knife of a vehicle

This vehicle can do it all; from hauling around some rather large dogs, to doing the grocery shopping, to going out to dinner with style. And the best part is the gas mileage. I was previously using an SUV from another manufacturer and at best I was getting 20mpg on average around town. Now I am getting almost double that, with my average gas mileage currently being 37.4mpg and my Tucson Hybrid only has 1214 miles on it so I expect the mileage to get better as the engine continues to break-in. I have the Tucson Limited and as far as features go I lack for nothing. I test drove two other brands before test driving and buying the Hyundai. The other two brands were very close in price to the Tucson Limited and yet none had even close to the same amenities as the Tucson Limited so I would definitely consider the Tucson Limited to give someone the most "bang for the buck".

My 2026 Tucson Limited Hybrid has all the bells and whistles and is an improvement over my 2024. It seems like a much bigger car with a more comfortable ride

Vehicle is good, not great.

Interior and exterior are good. Performance is good. My 2023 Santa Fe (old body style, bought new) was a better car. Radio/music is fair, it is awkward to use. Transmission shifts poorly at times. Do not like the wheels (and there are no dealer options)

Good/average over all

Getting used to the different hi tech parts of it. Wife loves them. Disappointed in the gas mileage on the freeway. 25+? Same as my old Tiguan. Mileage around town is nice. Mid to late 30's. Like the cameras and views when backing up.
