Cute, classy and sporty

Great looking car inside and out. Gets amazing gas mileage almost 40 mpg highway and I do a lot of long distance driving. I never get bored of the look and drives nice and smooth on most good highway roads . I do wish it had a few other options like automatic headlights and auto off directionals and better seating with more support. Also love the look of the low profile wheels but they get chewed up quick on these New England roads, wish they had meatier tires on the larger rim. Also they should all come with a spare tire because the tires usually get sidewall damage because of the low profile. I've had 2 tires replaced in less than a year and a 3rd one is getting ready for replacement due to a damaged sidewall. Potholes do a number on this cars wheels tires and rims. The gas mileage and look of the car make it worth it though .. fun little car! Oh and I love the panoramic moon roof!

Love my "Li'l Voster"

Wasn't sure about going small after an SUV. I was used to the extra space, comfort and feeling of safety. While a fully-loaded vehicle wasn't a first choice, I am loving the Great response, the ease of finding parking anywhere and it just looks laid back, cool!

Fun Car

I find the Hyundai Veloster to be a stylish and fun car to drive. The passenger side rear door makes the backseat accessable while preserving the sporty look on the driver's side. Adequate space in the hatch for storage.

Good and bad

Very good gas mileage and aesthetically pleasing both inside and outside, but it comes with some big blindspots especially by the right side mirror (passenger side). Also takes a little long to speed up.

Affordable, comfortable transportation.

This is not a true sports car but a "sporty" car built around readily available automotive components. The car is very good looking, comfortable, and reliable. It handles well and is fun to drive. The suspension would benefit from additional isolation from the unitized body and the car would also benefit from a V-6 engine option for those whot would desire more acceleration. The car's performance is all below 90 mph that meets the needs of most owners. The mileage is good and I routinely get 34 mpg while driving at 75 mph. It is a lot of car for the money and I would likely buy another one when tis one is worn out but, at 115,000 miles, mine still runs like a new car.

Nice Car

I still have my 2013 Veloster and it has been a good car with no major problems. I like the hatchback part of it. You can get quite a lot in there with the seats down which is what I was looking for. Mine has good gas mileage and it is not a Turbo. I average around 35 miles per gallon. The only thing I would prefer is that it had 4 doors instead of the 3.

2013 Hyundai Veloster

great fuel economy performance very reliability great build quality it's got 212 horsepower. to me, it only has two-week points the ride is a little rough due to low profile tires and the brake pedal feel is soft I'd prefer firmer pedal feel.

Economical and Sporty

The veloster is a great car even for a small family. The third door is handy for passengers. It has excellent mileage and is great in the snow (with snow tires). The only drawback is that it isn't a 4 door, which would be really helpful.

Like it

Handles great at high speeds! But the fan control is garbage I had to replace it 3 times! The radio failed 5 times! The seats are very comfortable. Roomy cabin soun system is good. Do not like the fact that you have to subscribe to a program with an extra monthly payment to access some features that should be standard!

Veloster

In all it is a sharp little car. Easy to maneuver. Great on gas mileage. Opens up great on highway. Little bit rough riding. Needs high quality tires as others ware out too quickly. Made for persons who have no trouble getting in by bending low. Not recommended for elderly parents. Seatbelts need to be more adjustable for different size and height of persons. Seatbelts ware and shred fabric on the side of seats. Headrests are far too forward and at an awkward angle. Need more filling or temperpidic foam in seats...especially driver side.

Love my veloster but not perfect

Car replaced my 2001 PT Cruiser, both are almost identical in length & width, leg room, hatch space but the Veloster gives me an average of 32MPG while my old PT Cruiser only gave me 21MPG. I hate the 18 inch rims, had 2 pot hole tire replacements in 18 months on those very low profile 40 series tires. I switched to a set of used 16 inch rims with 60 series tires. Much smoother ride and no more pinched sidewalls from medium potholes.. Too easy to hit the wrong button on the radio and lose all my preset stations. Scanning and resetting the presets should not be something that occurs just because you hit 1 wrong button. Overall I love the car, just hit 42000 miles after 5 1/2 years and I expect to keep it, no thoughts at all to trade at this time.

Great car

I love my Veloster, I only wish that i can find a dealership I can trust with my car. I'm thinking of buying the 2019, I love driving the car, i think i'd purchase the automatic opposed to the manual drive

Authentic are awesome inside and out, but for a 6 year old car with only 44,000 miles, things are starting to break, but for a 6 year old car with only 44,000 miles, things are starting to break

Authentics are awesome inside and out, but for a 6 year old car with only 44,000 miles, things are starting to break that should not be breaking. Plus, it keeps pulling in one direction. I have had the alignment checked numerous times by different facilities, and not one can figure out why. I am now being to think it may be a shock/strut, but again, with onl 44,000 they should not have gone bad already. I had a Ford Probe for 7 years and never had to replace my struts, and it had much better handling than the Veloster. I love the look of the 2013 Veloster, the 2019's, not so much.

2013 Veloster

I love my Veloster and it’s always a big hit with friends and people that see it or ride in it. The car is very underpowered considering it’s sporty looks. By installing a cold air intake it did help a little with the lag in performance but it could use another 100 Horsepower minimum to live up to its looks and handling.

My little buddy

I just love this little car. This is my second one, I upgraded to the turbo and it really has a kick. I changed the tires and wheels, and when I pull up every head turns. The sound system was also upgraded .

fun vehicle but some things did not work correctly and the warranty is not what you think

I really enjoy driving this vehicle, fun to drive, got the turbo power when you need it, handles well and it still looks good after all these years. Did have problems with the heater/ac control knob. Had to have it replaced seven times, six under warranty and one out of warranty which, after a call to Hyundia, they took care of. Now at 93,000 miles car needs new fuel injectors which I thought would be covered under the 10 year, 100,000 mile drive train warranty. Was told by dealer that these are only covered for 5 years, 60,000 miles. Wow, aren't these parts part of the engine which is part of the drive train. Told to replace it would cost me $750. To me this is not fair to the consumer. They should be included with the 10 year warranty. Was planning to trade it in this year for a new Veloster Turbo or N, but the cost to fix may put that out of reach. Other than that, the car is good looking and items that lacked in this year (rubber in the hood that turns grey and bad chrome on the rear exhaust that was cheap and not able to keep clean) have been improved on the newer models. Fun car but watch the warranty.

2013 Veloster

It has been a great car and I have 80K miles and it has averaged 37 mpg during that time of mixed city and interstate driving (i keep paper records). So far there have been no maintenance surprises, but to be far the first 75K miles on any new cars requires very little maintenance. I like 2 door cars but love the Veloster 3 doors layout to let back seat passengers in. Back seat head room is limited, but fine for short trips and it is what I expected. The hatchback and fold down seats offer a lot of room for hauling stuff. I like the performance of the turbo version and I have considered buying one, but I hate to give up the gas mileage for performance.

Great Service

I came in for an oil change and when I got home I noticed that my car had leak small amount of oil. I drove my car for a week and notice that my Veloster continues to leave me a small pool of oil. I called Kyler Murphy and he asked me to come by and they would checked it for me. Sure enough the attended to my care service with a friendly smile. Thank you Kyler Murphy and Hyundai dealership.

Veloster Turbo 2013

I really liked my Veloster, i drive to work and back that’s why it has low mileage on it. Recently the airbag light came on and i had to take it to dealership, they said i have to replace a part and it cost me about $500.00. I don’t think a good quality car will have such an incident on 60,000 mileage.

Easy on the eyes and easy to maintain

This car gets a lot of compliments from people who see it. I have the manual which is fun to drive, even though the car doesn’t have a lot of torc. It’s relatively inexpensive car for all of the bells and whistles that it comes with, and it’s also great on gas. It’s also very reliable, and does not cost much to maintain.
