Great car!

Handles great! Comfortable ride and decent gas mileage. Low maintenance. Good looking styling. Handles very well on the interstate! Bought this car used and it was one of my best purchases. If I was in the market I would buy a brand new Kia Optima.

Optima 2013

I like most everything, with the exception of the headlights. They aren't as bight as the ones on my forte were.

Great Car, is fast, accelerates very fast and before you realize it you are doing 80 MPH.

2013 Kia Optima

My Optima has definitely been a reliable vehicle. I decided to take a cross country road trip for 4 months and took my Optima from Orlando FL to Seattle WA to San Diego CA to St. Louis MO and we even went off roading a few times ? This car has been extremely reliable, comfortable, and fun to drive. Kia had a recall on engines so I was able to get a brand new engine in my car for free. The only issue I have had was an AC issue but I had someone fix it for $130. I get my oil changed regularly and go in for regular manintence so it works like a champ!

Better than average

I've owned the car for over 5 years and and it still gets compliments as if new. I have to compliment Concept III for adding 'after market' mods such as interior and exterior LED lighting. Just enough to separate my car from all the other KIA Optimas on the road. The performance has remained consistent. My only complaint would be several pieces of trim failing or separating over time. I was surprised it did not have heated side view mirrors (several other features that you don't ask at time of purchase).

Kia

My car has been fairly good. I have been a loyal Kia owner for many years. Between my husband and I we have had 4 kia Optima's. There are a few things I wish they would upgrade, one being the A/C. That's what I've had the most problems with.

Minor issues.

The car has been terrific. Never owned a car for 7 years! However a couple of issues. Auto-closing side mirrors have failed. First driver side. $440 to replace. Then passenger side. Was told by KIA service rep they are junk. Gears made of cheap plastic. Other is trans. In hot days car will lurch a bit, and at times no engagement from stop. Brought it in but since cannot be replicated nothing can be done. Otherwise all is good. (Knock on wood). Will hopefully keep car till 100k/10yr warranty is finished.

A fine car

My daughter bought the car new and has over 80,00 miles on it with no problems. I was unhappy with the gas millage, it gets less than my wife's 2004 Toyota Camay LX. That's my only complaint. When we bought it we expected better gas millage.

2nd Owner

I purchased this car with 20,000 miles on it in 2015. It runs great. Other than regular maintenance, the only cost I've had to put into it so far (knock on wood) has been a headlight assembly. Has great pickup and gets good gas mileage.

Pretty car but doesn't like to stay pretty

i have had my Kia Optima Hybrid Ex for 4 years. My main complaints are the body paint job, chips very easy. I'm at 53000 miles and I have another headlight burned out. Under warranty, but going to the mechanic in LA is less than easy. Not sure what my next car is but it will not be an Optima Sedan.

mid size car

So far so good. I wish it got better gas mileage and we have had some problems. It also was dirty when bought it, I found 2 lighters when I cleaned it up. It should have been detailed before being the sales lot. Don't you think? Otherwise pretty good car so far.

Kia Optimia

This is my first sedan since having 3 mini vans. It takes a little to get use to, sitting low. My over all experience has been so, far somewhat disappointing. I had to get the Oxygen senor replaced on my Kia Optima 2013 after having the car 7 months. It is a little loud when driving. But, overall everything else so far is good.

Good value

Good vehicle for the amount spent. Has some great features and has some drawbacks. Lousy suspension, good looking, good mileage,Lots of features that are only found on more expensive sedans. Good buy as sedans go. Newer models have improved slightly.

Going down hill

When I purchased my 2013 optima 4 years ago I was so happy with everything. As time went on I began to notice all kinds of problems. The dealerships have been so back logged with problems people are having. I've received numerous recall notices which concerns me about purchasing another kia. Evertime I call to schedule an appointment with service I'm given 4-5 weeks out. This is ludicrous.

Car is now 8 years old

Bought the car new in August, 2013. No major issues during this entire time. Being a hybrid, the transmission lags at start. I also talked to Kia about slight lurching when coming to a stop. Since they could not replicate could not repair. Driver side mirror stopped closing. $400 to replace only to have passenger side do the same. Went into DCH Kia for maintenance and asked about this. Was told the mirrors are 'crap'. Gears are plastic. Other little issues over time, but I still get compliments and people can't believe how old car is.

Too many electrical issues

When I first purchased my 2013 optima I loved it. But after a few years in I begin to notice a lot of electrical defects and the dealership was either not willing to really take the time to investigate or they would quote me this outrageous price. I would never purchase another KIA or reccommended it to anyone.

115000 miles and it’s useless

I bought this car 2 years ago used. 1 year into things I took it to get a look over and oil change from the dealership I bought it from. They told me my engine was a ticking time bomb. It guzzles oil and it’s only a matter of time. They refused to honor my warranty based on the belief it was a recall issue. After contacting Kia they told me they wouldn’t fix it until it was broke down. Well, I decided to drive it to Houston, Tx and all hell broke loose. I made it to Houston by the grace of God, as the car began shuddering and lurching with every slow down and stop. Even after replacing the coil and sparky plugs it was still malfunctioning. On the drive home it stopped accelerating and started shuddering as well. I took it to a mechanic to be told it’s basically totaled. 1/10. I do not recommend
