My engine blew up because of bad service by the dealer and a poor quality engine made by Kia. They had a recall, but of course, my engine is not covered. I recommend you to stay away from Kia! They will sell you junk and give you deliberately bad service and leave you high and dry!

Fun but short lived
Had an Optima that allowed variable settings for economic, routine and sport drive. Sport drive was terrific on highways. Routine was good and used econo for work days. Was on vacation in Canada when we had a death in the family. Drove back nonstop in sport and the drive was as smooth as I ever had. Only real problem on sport was keeping an eye on speed. So smooth you don't realize how fast you are going. Only problem was at 60000 miles (year 7) it began to burn oil. A well taken care of engine should last a lot longer.
