Please get rid of the older, caucasian female customer service agent. I usually deal with an older caucasion male and younger Latino male who both have excellent customer skills. This one visit tainted all my other 5 year experiences.

My car has been having the same issues for over a year. Every time I take it the mechanics "can't duplicate" the noise but as soon as I drive out of the lot you can hear it. They probably never even took it out for a test drive.

Horrible customer service
Went to McGrath talked to someone named Christine she was very nice. However the service was horrible. Let’s just say this is not luxury this is shit. I went in to fix my steering wheel and they fixed the steering wheel. Upon returning my car the ac didn’t work so i asked how long will that take? Christine said we can fix it today with a full inspection. So we did that a couple hours later she called and said your vehicle is ready. We arrived received the car and while we were driving the blinkers were not working. We drove back to hyundai and Christine was getting ready to go we explained the car is not fixed I can’t drive if no one can see my back blinkers, it’s not road safe. Instead of fixing the problem she said my shift is over everyone is gone. You can go across the street to Pep boys! Never in my life have I heard a dealer say to go to some random mechanic on a car. I will never return to hyundai McGrath again

Awful Experience
The facility itself is nice. The waiting room was comfortable. When I asked a gentleman at the counter about car battery’s he was very knowledgeable and helpful in making sure I understood what was being done to my car. However, I was blatenlty lied to on the phone. When I asked if my service would be covered he said yes. And when it came down to what had to be done I felt pressured and rushed into paying basically 400. I’m a young and new car owner and I will never be making that mistake again. The people that come to you for help should be able to trust you. I will not be coming back here again if I can help it.

Worst Experience EVER!!! Will not bring car here in the future!!!
So I brought in my car for what the dashboard was saying was a "hybrid battery" problem and that it was not charging. I explained my problem to the service advisor along with a few other things (car wash and oil change) that needed to be taking care of. I was told it wasn't going to be covered under warranty right away, when they didn't truly even know what the problem was at that point. One of the main reasons I bought a Hyundai was for its unlimited hybrid battery warranty life, to be told right away that wasn't the case was pretty frustrating especially when there were banners all over the showroom stating the same.

I dropped the car off Saturday morning and got a call a few hours later telling me they figured what the issue was and that it will be taken care of right away and it would be done by end day. Good news right? No. They service team closes at 4 and the cashier at 5pm. When I didn't get a call by 3:45 I started to call to confirm if the car was be ready. They kept on putting me on hold until the line would disconnect by itself or staying on long enough to leave a message for someone to call back (which no one did), and when they did finally answer (4:01pm) they told the service department was closed an no one could help me. Since the dealer was closed Sunday I had to wait till Monday to pick up the car (keep in mind I had to call again to get a confirmation the car was ready - no one was calling me to let me know).

When I went in, I found out they were trying to charge me almost $400 for what I was told over the phone was a "hybrid battery", and that it was going to solve the problem. Funny thing is, she mentioned after changing the battery and test driving the car they still had the same issue. Only once pulling it back in and they checked the fuses, they found the issue. That being said, it was obvious at that point the issue was the fuse and not the battery. Again wrong. She explained how they were both related and needed to be changed together and that the battery didn't work.

I have been driving hybrids since 2009 and I know hybrid batteries weren't $400, but rather more expensive, I thought she might have changed a "cell" in the battery or something. When I kept asking her what battery she changed, the "hybrid" battery or the "regular" battery, she kept on repeating, "we changed the interstate battery.” Now, if I explain ten times that I'm not knowledgable in cars and just needed an answer for which of the two she changed, and she kept on repeating only "interstate battery," it was obvious at that point she did not want to tell me that she didn't change the hybrid battery and was trying to charge me almost $400 for a regular battery, and that interstate was a just a “regular” battery brand which I later found out. After telling me they got rid of my older battery and not being able to find it, she did after I made sure she knew I wasn't going to pay that much for a battery of such kind. I ended up taking the car to a AutoZone so they could check the battery to confirm if the battery was truly an issue or was it just the burnt fuse, and as expected the battery was at 100% and had no issues and the fuse was the only issue.

I do not respect the fact that I was treated like I was naive or just down right unknowledgeable in cars that they tried to over charge me in such a way ($170-200 battery at O’Reilly and AutoZone). I tried multiple times to have her explain the battery she changed using a different term other than “interstate” and she insisted on not changing it, nor could explain it was just a battery brand and not the hybrid battery they were changing. The car wash and oil change that I asked for were also not done. This wasted too much of my time and money as I had to rent a car and take days off for longer than what was needed, and the fact she tried to lie to get more money out of me was out right disrespectful. I will not be bringing in my car here and will be telling my friends and family the same. I thought bring your car into the same dealer you bought it from would be safe... apparently not!

BEWARE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE - BUY SOMEWHERE ELSE
Let me start by saying that I got an amazing deal due to my negotiation abilities. That being said it was not easy but I got the price I wanted. Now to focus on customer care, follow up, BLUELINK setup, and Sales Manager trying to BLACK MAIL me to fill a 5 star rating for the service provided to me by McGrath City Hyundai. So after all docs were signed there customer service was horrible, I called multiple times for assistance with finalizing finance of the vehicle, as well as requesting assistance in setting up BLUELINK. All calls and messages were ignored, except for Lori who promised to call me back the next day by 10 am and never did. I had to call her back 2 days later for follow up. Luis and Angelo also promised they would call me back and no follow up to my questions and request for clarification on certain items. And everytime I called BLUELINK for assistance on setting up the service on the vehicle I am on hold forever. I currently have been on hold for over 33 minutes and counting. I've called more then a dozen times and nothing. I will never, ever, ever, purchase a vehicle from Hyundai dealership as long as I live. And when my 2017 Sante Fe lease is up in 2 years we will be shopping else where for our next SUV upgrade.

Bad Service
Brought car in for service for an airbag light on dashboard. Car was fixed and light disappeared but steering wheel was left way off center. Brought car back immediately after it was given to me. Car was never test driven even though steering assembly had been fixed. Steering wheel was fixed 2/3 but still a bit off Centered. Decided not to bring car back as work is not of quality that I am accustomed to with other dealer.

Mechanic service is not like it used to be.
I dropped my car off at 7:15 AM for an oil change, recalls, and check the breaks because last time I was there you told me they would probably need to be changed the next visit. I hear nothing all day from the dealer. At 4:35 PM I receive a call from the dealer indicating that I need front breaks. Also please be aware that my pickup time on the work order was to be 4:30 PM. I was not very happy with the call and asked why, at 4:35 PM you are now calling me to tell me I need front breaks when my car was dropped off for service over 8 hours ago. They indicate the service tech just brought the car back with the notes. The service tech is in the background saying he can do the breaks now. I let him do the breaks. My question is - Why are you waiting over 8 hours to call me to tell me my car needs additional work? I dropped off my car for the specific reason of not wanting to sit there while work was being performed. I have been a very loyal customer to this dealer location and felt like I was not treated very kindly and that no one really cared that I was being called at 4:35 PM to tell me additional work was needed to be done. Please note I do NOT feel like this was the fault of the service person that checked me in. I think there should be some type of re-organization with the mechanics. It is not fair to wait until the end of the day to work on a car that is brought in first thing in the morning. As of right now I am reviewing my options to find another Hyundai dealer close to my residence. This is also upsetting because we are now in the process of starting to review options of purchasing a new vehicle for my husband and I was trying to talk him into a Hyundai from your dealership.
