06 pt cruiser

I like the versatility of this car. I can fold down or easily remove the back seats for larger items. My only major complaint is how low the front end is to the ground. In winter, the front end acts like a shovel & gets the car stuck in snow. I do wish the drivers seat would recline.

Different feelings

I bought my 1st or in 2009, loved it, never had any big problems. Then I wanted one with less miles (6 yrs. later). Got my 2nd. It was a limited and I liked the look, also low miles. It's been a constant pain, it has buckle and fined me to death. Will not get another.

I love my car

A little trouble to work on but I am keeping my PT til it doesn't work anymore especially since it is going to be an antique because they stopped making them. I plan to have it customized when I have the extra money

Pt cruiser

Only complain I is less gas,milage than I'd expect from a small vehicle. Reliable and good in snow. It has been abused and maintenance for a period was less than recommended, but no repairs that weren't due to collisions.

Love crusin in my PTCruidet

Cardboard

It is a 2006 but it has a 2008 motor in it because the 2005-2007 motors have an engineering flaw. The new motor cost me $2200 to buy and replace. I worked at Chrysler for 25 years. This is the lowest-end, cheapest version of anything they sold during that time. This is the base model.. It has no bells nor any whistles. It runs well. I just spent $600 on new cabling for the battery. It seems like all the Chrysler cars I have owned need work every three months or so anywhere from $250 to $2500. My other car is now a Ford. No more Chrysler cars for me.

2006 PT Cruiser Review

While I like my 2006 PT Cruiser, I loved my 2005 PT Cruiser better. I do not like the shift sequence in the 2006 with reverse right next to first gear. Even with the alarm for reverse, it is too easy to miss first gear and put it in reverse. I also do not like the leather seats. They are cold and hard and even with care are cracking in spots. Yes we have seat heaters, but the seats are still cold when you first get in, and the seat heaters absolutely KILL the batteries. While I like the power the Turbo gives me...I'm a 63 year old woman. Do I really need that? Both our 2005 and 2006 lost their air conditioning at about 58,000-59,000 miles. We never got the 2005 repaired. Our son now owns it. However, the 2006 has been pretty reliable and has been fun to drive.

love my car

I know it's clunky and corny, and I wish it got better gas mileage. But this car has run without crisis for over a decade. I drive everybody everywhere because of my ability to carry large items and because my car is reliable. I dread its demise.

'06 PT Cruiser

My Cruiser has only 68K miles, but Over the 11 years I have had it, I have spent what I think is WAY too much $ on it for the low mileage it has. I have been faithful in having regular maintenance approximately every 3,000 miles but even so there have been inordinate and expensive repair costs.

great little car

I have had my car for nearly ten years and it has 92,000 miles on it. It is dependable and inexpensive and uncomplicated to repair. I love this car. My only complaint is that my cloth seats spot and stain too easily.

I love my PT Cruiser

My PT Cruiser has been a very dependable car. It now has 141,000 miles on it. I drive long distances on the highway and my car handles the road very well. No major mechanical issues, just general maintenance. Mine is the Limited with all the extras. Interior space is just right for me. I like the cargo room. I highly recommend the PT Cruiser as a fun, reliable car.
