PT Cursier

This car has been the best Car I have ever owned. When I decide to get a newer car I plan to keep my PT Cursier for a 2nd car. It drives very well and I enjoy driving it. Has had some problems but that is to be expected it is going on 12 Years old

I love my Pt Cruiser 07, but...

Great little suv, but my PCM and TIPM went bad at less than 80,000 miles! We’re talking 1,600 repair on the cheap side! I was able to get a rebuilt and programmed PCM at All Computer resources for abou $ 200. Also my air conditioning has leaks and it was already service less than a year ago. Too many computers are a drag! Very few mechanics deal with this problem and much less Chrysler old models. I was able to find AG automotive in Witnetka, Ca and they saved the day!

Solid

The car runs fine but the compressor went out a year after it was fixed. It drives smooth and the repairs are pretty cheap. Not happy the compressor was just repaired last year, but now the air conditioner is not working!!!

Cute little workhorse!

Love the vintage styling and superior functionality. It fits in the tightest city parking spots. And you can load it to the gills with stuff, thanks to the rear hatch and fold-down back seat. My 'Cruiser is 11 years old and the clock still works! Why did Chrysler stop making this beautiful little car???

Nice choice for my daughter's first car

My daughter just bought a 2007 convertible PT Cruiser as her first car. It's a unique vehicle with a lot of little amenities. Love the gear shifter, and the feature to raise or lower all 4 windows together. Overall the car was well maintained and in great shape. Hoping it will run well for many years. Overall, it is a sweet car and am very pleased with it so far.

Money Pit, Worst Car EVER !!!!

I purchased my 2007 PT Cruiser 2 years ago with 105,000 miles on it for $4200. During the time I've owned it, I now have over $8000.00 in this 11 year old car due to constant mechanical issues. I've had to replace the transmission,(over $1600 for a used one) the water pump, the timing belt which was over $1000 ( this is a 7 hour shop time job), broken sway bar, Brakes, Rotors, Calibers... and a year and a half later... the brakes are going bad again. Also, a broken drive shaft, broken motor mounts... after the last service, they noticed the inner tie rod is going bad ass well... last summer the air conditioner stopped working as well. This past New Year's day... car wouldn't start, had it towed in... it had a leaking valve cover gasket which caused oil to foul out the spark plugs.. they had to pull the intake manifold to get to the valve cover... $600 repair bill... it's never ending with the car. I've owned over 25 different vehicles in my lifetime and this is without doubt the worst car I've ever owned.

This vehicle is just right for me!

I love my PT, it is the perfect size and performance that I need. It looks cool, maintenance has been minable for me. The 241 fwy is a little challenging.It's a high grade,it can be done,however it is slow and can make some drivers mad.

Small but mighty

I recently watched the odometer turn over to 100,000 miles! I'm determined to keep this gem running through to 200,000! It's the perfect size for my life. I do volunteer work in animal welfare so am constantly carting everything from food donations to dogs hither and yon. I can pack more into this vehicle than a lot of trucks can carry! And it is easy to park just about anywhere. It has the get up and go you need for highway driving. It needed some front-end work a while back and I just replaced a radiator fan but this is to be expected after 10 years on the road. Plus, the retro design is timeless. I never get tired of the look of my little car.

But, we did buy the best PT Cruiser ever built.

Knock on wood. Our "PeeTee" Cruiser is awesome. It's probably the best one they ever built and it's in the best color. Sure, it has it's issues. Too much power for its size, which means poor gas mileage for its size. This was the year when Chrysler had an issue with transmissions, but we never had an issue. Again, knock on wood, aside from a dead battery a couple of times, PeeTee has never broken down. But, it has low miles and we've taken good care of it. The best part about it, is that its retro styling will never go out of style. One day, I hope to make a monster truck out of it. Too bad they don't make them anymore.

Rate PT cruiser

The side panel to change seat had problems-- not attach correctly .Dealer was totally unable to fix it. (Many tries). I like the car as far as view from windows. Like the back seats lay down for storage. Size of car is great. It seems the car is just put together very cheaply and poorly. Car makes a lot of noise--like not put together tighly.

P.T. Cruiser

I love it! Mine is a 2007 and it looks brand new. Chrysler is a quality brand that I have driven most of my life. The only thing I have trouble with is the low front bumper. It scrapes on everything. I have even had to replace it once. I can never pull up to the concrete on parking lots.
