Nice car—mediocre service experience

The car meets all expectations. I bought it the last year the Genesis G80 was available at the Hyundai dealerships. There was not a Genesis dealership close by. I never experienced the attention and service afforded most luxury car owners when dealing with the service department. Once I understood I needed to ignore the the Genesis promotional materials regarding service experience, everything was just fine.

Excellence

The Genesis G80 is a superior car that should be marketed more aggressively. People often fail to recognize it or mistake it for a Bentley at times. It is admired. Features are superb and generous. Standard and optimal Technology is superior and exceeds competitors. Styling is excellent, performance and comfort/quiet are as well. Regular gasoline guideline is a measure of superb value and engineering. The 2017 model and price offered peerless value for this level of car. Maintain the value proposition to build share for this unique car.

I like my G80

A luxury vehicle which is very well equipped. It is fun to drive. It looks great and turns heads. The G80 has plenty of power and great response. The G80 is a great vehicle and the price compared to other luxury vehicles makes it a fantastic vehicle.

Great car for the money

The car is absolutely awesome. Once they have a dealer network they will be ready for business. Maybe I am a snob but when purchasing a luxury vehicle I don't like being treated like I'm am buying a Hyundai for my first new car and being shuffled through the rigamarole of the less expensive car buyer.

This car is a great Value. I would put it next to any $75000 Car On the road .Every-time I walk up to my car I like the look.I was parked next to $100,000 Mercedes and I was proud of my G80.This is my second G80. I wish the screen was bigger for the nav.

Many fine things included in this vehicle. I would like to see better MPG and better design for center console. I will take a look at another Genesis when the lease has expired, but I am expecting that the price will not be competitive to meet my expectations.

My Genesis

Love my Genesis. Overall a great vehicle. If there were more store locations, I would be replacing it with another. It is my second Genesis and each generation has gotten better. I may be considering a used G90 if I can locate one locally. Not thrilled I have to travel a distance to have it worked on.

Like the vehicle very much, the ride and performance is excellent. However, I would like the ability to receive text messages and emails. The navigation system is difficult to program the destination. Overall, the vehicle has met my expectations and I look forward to driving it for several more years. I would like to receive a response for my concerns.

Excellent vehicle overall

Very good car overall. Easy to drive and all features are user-friendly without any fuss. Everything is quite simple to program. The car is very quiet and comfortable cruiser. The V-6 engine is powerful enough to move the car quickly. Everything is well built and quite attractive. Better gas mileage would be nice.

Happy Genesis Owner

I'm very happy with my 2017 Genesis G80, I think it's the best car I have every owned. No major problems so far and the folks at the dealership are very nice. One time I ran off the side of the road and had to use your Genesis Connected Services and they were able to help me out. It was late at night and we were stuck in the middle of no-where, I was very happy to have that service...

Genesis 80

The first adjustment was getting use to the size of the side view mirrors. They were so much bigger then my previous car. Most of the time we don't use the navigation system because after putting in the destination, it is difficult to get to the page where the system accepts the destination to begin the navigation. Otherwise, the car ride is very comfortable. Good exceleration. Sometimes I need to pull the driver's seat back to easily get out of the car. Sometimes I have wished for more light in the back seat area to empty the car at night. Maybe I have not figured where all of the lights are located. I trust the automatic stopping is there. I have never felt the engagement of the automatic brake. Because I am having to use the dealership where I live and not where I purchased the car, I don't always trust they are looking out for my best interest.

Other than poor dealer support and some issues with headlights, the G80 is a superb car well worth the investment. Repair of headlights, which still do not perform up to par, was a lengthy and time consuming process, mostly because of poor dealer support and experience.

G80

We experienced problems with our previous lease (2015 Genesis), all documented with the dealer. As much as we like our current vehicle, we will not own another Hyundai. Due to a misunderstanding at the time of our last lease, Hyundai found it necessary to place our account in collection (1st time in 70 yrs.), causing my credit rating to drop 120 pts. After nearly 2 yrs., dealing with both the dealership and Hyundai, nothing has been done to correct the problem. If you can't clear this problem, you probably can't clear others.

Best vehicle I’ve owned in 55 years of driving. Style, color combo interior and exterior perfect, handling and acceleration (5.0) terrific, wood paneling beautiful. Sound system the best ever. Navigation excellent. Spacious interior and storage. A pleasure to pick up in lot filled with European and British luxury cars. Competes easily in style and looks with them.
