Great car with significant issues

Great car, but I have had two electrical breakdowns, have had to replace my rear struts and shock absorbers, and have had to have the rear hatch fixed. Hopefully these design/manufacturer flaws have been fixed in later models. Otherwise, the car is great.

Good EV

We like the energy savings on the car and it handles pretty well. The range varies greatly though according to speed and AC usage. We're looking forward to the day when there are more high-speed charging stations available.

Couldn’t be more proud and happy with my IONIQ 5. I have a friend who just bought an Ionic 9, I like my older IONIQ 5 better.

Decent EV but does not hold its value

Smooth ride, range is ok, but only if outside temperatures are good. If it's too hot or too cold, range is greatly reduced. Interior finish is luxurious, exterior appearance is distinctive as well. My only real issue with this vehicle is the rear window: if you're going to put a large window at that angle on the back, you need a wiper for that window. I don't know how many times rear vision has been obstructed by rain or snow due to the fact there is no wiper there.

Would be 5 stars if not for 2 ICCU failures

Fantastic car. Excellent range, consistently the fastest level 3 charging when charging in public, comfortable interior and features. But I've owned the car for 2 1/2 years and the ICCU has failed twice. In fact I am approaching my annual ICCU failure, so I should make some plans to have a tow truck on speed dial. For this reason I cannot recommend this vehicle to anyone I care about.

We enjoy IONIQ 5. After some issues with ICC and therefore starting, ACC speed issue which got fixed under warranty. The display screens are the best.

My Ioniq 5 review

Overall this is an excellent vehicle, very peppy and responsive with good acceleration. It is a little "noisy" as the cabin could be a little tighter/insulated. Also, I wish it had a longer drive range between charges.
