Battery issues

Love everything about this vehicle other than the fact that the 12v battery dies and the car becomes inoperable. And as a result spends weeks at the dealership garage.

Love it but worried about ICU

I've had this car on a lease for a little over two years, and overall I've loved it. It's comfortable, it looks great, it's got good range, and I would seriously consider keeping it or upgrading to the latest model year, especially since that one has a rear windows wiper, better range, and more physical buttons. So clearly Hyundai was listening to its customers. The only thing that always worried me, particularly on long trips, was the ICCU issue I kept reading about. I did all the maintenances, I did all the recalls, and I tried to reassure myself that it was supposedly less than 1% of vehicles. And then it happened to me last week. Luckily I was near home, and McGovern Hyundai in Arlington, MA got me back on the road in 24 hours. But the fact that this issue is so well-known, prevalent, and still not really solved means I'll have a difficult decision next February

2+ years with my Ioniq 5

I love the Ioniq 5. I have only had one issue. There was an issue with the 12V battery discharging. It took several tries, but the problem was finally resolved. My only cost was time. Hyundai replaced 2, 12V batteries at no charge to me. We took a 2,500 mile trip last summer and had no issues with the car or finding adequate charging stations. My next car will be a Hyundai EV!

Several electrical issues. Poor customer service.

The car has major electrical flaws. The 12V battery keeps dying, and the ICCU (the main charging part) had to be replaced. It’s unreliable and keeps breaking down. The Service: Both Hyundai Corporate and the dealerships have been a nightmare. They are hard to work with, don’t communicate well, and haven't provided the support you'd expect for a new car. On top of the electrical mess, there are persistent rattles and noises coming from the trunk. Despite multiple visits, no technician has been able to find the source or fix it.

Has been a fantastic car, and a great intro to EV's

I love the legroom in this car, with teenagers who are 6'4" and up, it is nice to have a backseat that can accommodate them. Another aspect I love is that the car charges much faster at public chargers than other EV brands. I can get in and out of a public charger easily in 15 to 20 minutes, where sometimes others are there for an hour plus (part of this is human etiquette, too...I would never charge past 80% if others were waiting). Overall this has been such a great car for road trips and around town. I like that they added a rear wiper on 2025 models, that is a great improvement. Another suggestion is to somehow adjust for more cooling for back seat passengers as the two back seat vents are on the sides and pretty small. On really hot days, it can stay pretty warm back there when it's cool in the front.

Great Car

I'd love to be able to save my seat settings. The driver's seat is so customizable, but my wife and I have very different settings. It's difficult and time consuming to adjust the seat every time I get in to drive.

It’s currently in the shop with a well known electrical problem snd will not be diagnosed for days! Interior space nice. Dashboard layout sub par.

A great vehicle with one small flaw

We really enjoy the Ioniq 5. This is our second one. The only flaw is the lack of a rear windshield wiper. This makes It extremely difficult to see behind us in rain or snow. We’ve learned to work around it, and that’s the only negative we’ve experienced. Charging is quick, mileage per charge is excellent, handing is great, plenty of room inside.

Oh, and it’s an EV too!

This is a fabulous car that has the smoothest drive, great handling, clean interior, beautiful lines and as a bonus is an all electric car. My only critique of the car should have us a better turning radius given its long wheelbase. Lacking is auto door locks upon existing but an add on device from The Ioniq Guy solves that and no wireless Apple AirPlay but is remedied with a Bluetooth plug in adapter.

All done right

I always have complete confidence in the mechanics and service attendants when I come here. Their new space is beautiful. While waiting I met Jesus who gave me a test drive in the new Palisade . I'm just telling you that everyone is available at any time for all sorts of things while I waited .

Great car with a few flaws.

After 24,000 I love this car. Very inexpensive to run (in Georgia). Unfortunately these cars seem to have a problem with ICCU failure, that doesn’t seem to have been resolved, and that makes me a bit nervous. I have been on long trips, no range anxiety, easy, fast charging, very comfortable.
