It's okay

Need to take it in to the dealer. Recently have started hearing a weird noise while driving. From research sounds like a bad wheel bearing. It has less than 1k miles so that is concerning if that's the issue.

I really enjoy driving the vehicle. It's easy to maintain at home with a small level II charger which I used with a PHEV. One feature I would like to see is a foot sensor to open the rear hatch hands free rather than than the approach, as the hatch opens when you walk slowly by the rear whether you want it or not.

This is an amazing car!

While I've read of others having some issues with the battery or ICCU, so far so good with me! And I trust if I have any problems, Hyundai will be right there to take care of me. I trust this company and I trust my car! (also, when I lost power for 19 hours and had 11 guests in my house, it powered the fridge and the coffee pot. Win win!

Review for Hyundai Ioniq 5 SEL

I really like this car — it’s stylish, fun to drive, and turns heads everywhere I go. The design is sleek and modern, and the interior feels premium and spacious. My only real regret is not stepping up to the Limited trim. I went with the SEL, and a lot of the smart driving modes and convenient features were removed compared to the higher trim. That was a bit disappointing. I also had some minor cosmetic issues when I took delivery, but the dealer handled everything quickly and professionally, which I really appreciated. One small thing I wish Hyundai would improve is the backup speed — it feels too fast for me, especially in tight spaces. It would be great if we could adjust or limit the reverse speed. Other than that, the Ioniq 5 has been wonderful so far. Smooth, quiet, efficient, and a joy to drive every day. Highly recommend it!

All About a Great EV

I leased a 2023 Ioniq 5 and loved it. However, the features in the 2026 are even better. Apple Car Play, longer mileage between charges, universal charging port (with adapters) and a spiffy exterior. I waited 3 months to write this review so I could get past buyer's joy and buyer's remorse. It's a wonderful keeper. And I smile as I drive by the higher gas prices.

Wonderful Car

My Ioniq 5 vehicle is the best yet. After having a 2023 Ioniq 5 for three years I was pleased to see many refinements in the 2026 model year. I appreciate how the onscreen information system has been reorganized and easier to navigate. My lingering concern is about the ongoing ICCU problem and how the car behaves when the 12V battery is failing.

Nice start but the finish wasn't so great!

Bought the car and loved it in the beginning. Within days I noticed an issue and tried taking back for repair. Twice they've lied to me about driving the car. This is my second and last purchase of Hyundai products. I've dealt with 3 dealers and I've only been satisfied with one of them.

A great drive and well-built

I'm new to Hyundai and so far (1100 miles) the experience has been great. The car is fast and responsive, the adaptive cruise control and lane keeping work well, it has a high charging capacity, and a very comfortable interior. Any criticisms so far are nitpicks - the app is characteristically not great and slow, the wireless charging pad can overheat and should be MagSafe, and I live in fear of the ICCU dying. Overall though it's been a great car.
