Our first electric vehicle is a great choice

The transition from gas to electric was so easy. My vehicle lets me know my range and as well got to understand battery usage, we became more comfortable with longer trips. Range is reduced by about 20% in very cold weather, but we adapt accordingly. The safety technology is superb and becomes more important as we get older. Dashboard layout is easy to understand and seats are very comfortable. Our guests in the back say their seats are also comfortable. Acceleration is great. My only criticism is rear window visibility is a little constraining.

Very Efficient high performance EV

We got the Rear wheel drive version for its higher efficiency and hence longer range. Still believe that was a wise decision. The car looks great handles very well. The rear wheel drive version is supposed to be less powerful, but it still launches like a rocket ship from the stop light. The design is eye catching (get a lot of compliments on it) and ride is quiet and comfortable. It has all the safety features. Only downsides are tires wear quickly (common EV complaint), and it is a surprisingly long car which has its advantages but can make pulling it into some tight spots a little bit of a challenge.

My favorite car I've ever had!

I have loved my 2024 Hyundai IONIQ 6 since the first day I got it two years ago. It's sleek, comfortable, and fast. My lease is up in less than a year and I'm planning on getting another one.

Nav system is nuts

Need on demand battery preconditioning when charge level is below 20% Vehicle handles well...very comfortable. I like plugging in a microwave in backseat.

Very Good car, but short of great

The car is fast, responsive and fun to drive...but many of the controls are counterintuitive, the air conditioner/defroster doesn't work well and the windshield sits at an angle that makes it difficult to see in certain conditions. I like the car, but not enough to buy it again. I'll likely stick with Hyundai, but maybe a Kona or Ioniq 5

Good electric car with minimal flaws

So far, a very reliable electric car. Attractive exterior, sensible interiors. Small form-factor and easy to drive. Some minor issues: the proximity sensor alarm constantly malfunctions at stoplights, and the tire pressure indicator appears to be glitched as well.

Our favorite car ever (in 50 years)

At 75 years of age, we have never had a car that we loved as much as our Ioniq 6. The only challenge is that we have to be more intentional about long trips. Interstate driving has the most options, and each year there are more charging stations, but we look forward to the time when every gas station also has EV powering. It’s pure joy to drive past gas stations, where gas prices are rising, and plug in at home. Charging there has added $60 a month to our home electric bill—and that’s for our two EV cars together.

My review

Vibration between the speeds of 65-70 has been a problem since I got the car and the dealer has been unable to fix it. Replacing the tires has been repeatedly requested and not done.

An excellent EV that's fun to drive

It's a great car. We charge at home from a solar/battery system so it's essentially eliminated the cost of my wife's commute. I love driving it when I get a change because it's a fun car to drive with the same horsepower as my Tacoma in a more responsive vehicle. It won't haul trash cans, but thankfully my truck will.

My Ioniq 6 is beautiful, fast and very practical. Find a used one with a reasonable price and not too many miles and buy it. I did, and I'm really pleased with the car.

Comfortable and smooth ride!

This hyundi ioniq 6 was my first EV and it surpassed all my expectations! It was comfortable to drive and fast!! Looks like a Porsche from behind. I leased for 2 years and had no issues. The only maintenance was a flat tire replacement and windshield replace. I’m hooked on Evs now.
