Battery too small, scary braking over bumps

I hate having to travel. The battery life and range is awful. If you only go a few miles, sure this is the car for you. However, anything over 20 miles is a drain and forget 2-3 hr away trips. You will have to charge at least once more, extending your trip about an hour or more. Anytime I hit a bump while braking, the brakes lock and cause the tires to skid and not stop properly. It’s kind of scary. I’m surprised I haven’t hit anyone yet. I love the look and feel of my spaceship, but practicality is not there for me.

Safety

Dealer unable to correct faulty systems, FCA, FCW thus unsafe vehicle. Bought it for the safety features, all work but those! Hyundai USA tried help, but dealer dodged the problem.

So far so good

I've had my Kona electric 2025 for one year now and no complaints really. It's too new to know what kind of maintenance issues may arise but no issues yet. I don't use some of the tech features such as the self driving feature but nice to have the option for those that want it. All the features I use are very user friendly. One feature I dislike is the crash alert. The beeping and visual warning just makes me more stressed out in the situation. Not sure if that can be disabled or not. Not a huge deal. It can just be alarming at times. EV charging station finder is not super reliable. You have to double check locations in charging apps to confirm they are legit.

Problems already

Well, we have only had our car for a few weeks and it's already been back at the shop for several while they try to figure out why it won't charge on anything but a fast charger. So while initially we were thrilled, now we are just frustrated that we're paying high gas prices for a loaner vehicle while we wait and wait and wait for this issue to hopefully be resolved.

Have the peace of mind that charge will take time. After that, not going to the pump its a beautifull thing. No brake pads, no oil changes no problem Plan your trips.... thats the drawback
