My experience with my Palisade has been disappointing.
Starting with the Dealership that I purchase the vehicle from I have had two bad experiences with getting repairs completed by the service department. The first issues occurred when I was charged for a tire that the service department stated had a nail in the tire and it had to be replaced. I was charged for the tire replacement even though I had purchased the Portfolio Protection which coverage the tires. It took two visits and three months for me to get reimbursed for that charge. The second issues occurred about 17 months after I purchased the vehicle, the battery would not start because it was dead. I had the vehicle towed to the dealership and informed the service manager that the battery was dead and that there was something draining the battery since it was less than two years old. I was told that there was nothing wrong with the battery, that they checked the battery and for me to come pick up the Palisade. I had two more incidents with the battery being drained dead. The second time I requested that the battery be replaced with a new battery and the issue happen a third time which on both occasions I had to have the vehicle towed to the dealership and the problem was not solved. I finally scheduled and took the vehicle to a different dealership and the problem was diagnosed and repaired "the actuator for the rear door lift was causing the issue and was draining the battery. The latest issue I am having with my vehicle is a clonking noise and feeling coming from the rear of the vehicle when I am backing up and turning the steering wheel or when turning going around a corner. I took the vehicle to the dealership that fixed the battery issue and was told that the noise that I was hearing and feeling was coming from the AWD Drive Coupler which they said there was a software update that would correct that issue. However, when I drove the vehicle home from the dealership, I still heard the noise and felt the issue with the rear of the vehicle when turning the corner. At this point I am hesitant to take the vehicle back to the dealership, so I am going to drive it for a couple of days to make sure the issue is still the same even with them doing the software update.
