A Safe and Affordable Ride

Great gas mileage on the hybrid (I get around 39 around town) and 34 on the interstates). The ride is comfortable and safe.

It's a great car with a lot of bells and whistles!

I love the car. It's heavy and solid on the road. Works well in snow. I did have some initial issues with the motor in the automatic (drivers) seat. I am now having some issues with the 12 volt battery. When I brought the car back to the dealership to have the seat fixed they marked it as "maintenance." Which then meant I lost out on my free maintenance services. I tried contacting the corporate office (literally over 12 months) and still no resolution. Fortunately, the dealership changed hands and the new dealership knows the issue and has been great.

Almost great

The lumbar support is nice in the driver’s seat, but why leave it out of the front passenger seat? Big problem with cruise control. Driving on hwy cruising along and, out of nowhere, not only does the cruise cut off, (because of a radar issue?), but it feels like I hit the breaks and something rapidly slows the vehicle down out of the blue. It’s incredibly disturbing for the driver and disruptive to surrounding traffic who are driving behind me and I quickly decelerate out of the blue. It’s VERY UNNERVING! Also, the lane assist doesn’t read the actual road properly and decides to nudge me back to where IT thinks the lane is, not where the lane currently is. Also, the backup alert being is too loud and most annoying and the dealer won’t disable it. Honestly, if I had known about it before I bought it, I wouldn’t have bought the vehicle.

an average vehicle

The thermal and sound insulation is poor. The interior upholstery material quality is substandard. There's a problem with the trim deteriorating quickly. The seatbelts are problematic.

Highly Satisfied With My Hyundai

My previous two vehicles were Subaru Outbacks -- a 2001 and 2012. I liked both cars, but there were some issues with the 2013 - a failed transmission at 127,000 miles, and head gasket failure at 137,000 miles. To me, reliability is a top criterion in choosing a car. The warranty and reliability record of Hyundai were important factors that led me to the brand. I chose the hybrid for the mileage and performance and I have been satisfied with the choice.
